Not long home after the best day of my life! The sun shone all day (although it was a little chilly) and it went by in the blink of an eye. I was awake at 6.30am and not getting married until 4pm. It felt like literally 2 hours or so and it was 3.15 and time to get into my dress.
I didn't feel nervous at all, just excited. The vicar made everyone laugh through out the ceremony and everyone said how much they enjoyed it. The only slight issue was the ground was slightly wet from the rain the night before so when we went into the church gardens the ladies heels were sinking in the mud. Still, the photos that I've seen so far are great.
The reception was fab. We had a buffet and people were going back for thirds! The dance floor was full all night without exception and everyone just had big grins on their faces.
The only slight down points were one of the guests took a clump out of my cake (after it had been cut) and started throwing it around. I didn't see any of it but it meant that half of the cake was ruined and someone else-or possibly the same person-has done random scribbles in my guest book over peoples comments so some of the pages are ruined but it didn't take away from the fantastic time I had!

The cake was a lad I went to school with so at aged 28 with 3 kids of his own you'd have thought he'd have known better. Don't know about the guest book but there was just so much nice stuff going on and it was such a fabulous day that it doesn't really seem to matter. :0)
Aww glad you had a fab day, congratulations! At least you didnt know what was going on so it didnt effect your day, but some people....
