I've got 7 weeks today until I get married.

I've managed to put on over a stone since Xmas, and I know why. I know I keep putting the food in my mouth but I can't help it :(

I know I can get that stone off, and will still be a fat bride, but it's so hard :( I know I can do it, and I know I need to. I'm the heaviest I've ever been and it was a shock at first but now I'm like meh.

I've noticed extra bits of fat appearing on me, and I just feel hideous.

I don't know what to do :( h2b loves me as I am, but I hate myself right now... I hate the fact that even if I do lose a lot of weight and get slim, that when we have kids they will look at the wedding photo's and see their fat mother there.

    Ugh :(

Awww *hugs* you will look fabulous on your wedding day!

I hate myself and when Craig proposed I vowed to lose weight and in 2 years I only dropped a dress size and now a 16 but have 34jj so look bigger and I hate it. I'm now depressed because I want to be able to wear a bikini on my honeymoon and thats in 8 weeks and I dont think its gonna happen - I'm gonna look like a beached whale! With the wedding, it didn't bother me as much as my dress really pulled me in.

    Whats your dress like?

Aww hunni bet your just being hard on yourself
You still have 7 weeks and if it really bothers you that much you could get a personal trainer and do a strict diet?
As you said your h2b loves you the way you are and I think we just get drawn in to what we should look like x

Oh hun, as Future mrs mac said, you are being hard on yourself and you shouldn't be. I bet you will look gorgeous on the day, h2b will love you no matter what and those photos will be stunning!

If you are determined to drop a stone, you can do it! 30 mins of cardio and weights every day and go on a carefully planned balanced diet (lotsa fruit and veg, no carbs after lunch and lean meat) ...........you have 7 weeks, you can defo do it! xxx

Aww hun come on dont get down about it, it'll only make you want to eat more and cause you to gain. I know exactly how you're feeling - I'd fully intended to continue losing when I stopped cambridge diet last year but all I've done is gain gain gain. I'm never going to have lost all of the weight by the wedding but I also know how much better I'll feel if I lose a bit and feel healthier and in control.. try and do some exercise and believe you'll look great! Dont be hard on yourself, it'll add more pressure. You may have put on a stone but I'll bet you'll still be stunning on the day x

the other ladies are right, dont be hard on urself, ur partner is marrying you because he loves you for who you are and he will see u as nothing but beautiful on your wedding day! as for your future children seeeing your wedding pics, they wont see you like that at all! they will love the fact u and their dad r together for a start, and also they will be pleased for u if u lose more weight, kids love u for who u r and not what u look like. if u really want to try and get ur weight down exercise is a big part and can help u lose the most weight in that time. walk everywhere! if u can and go up and down stairs as much as u can in a day, any excuse to do some exercise then do it, no matter what u eat u should notice a difference.

we all have down time and weight issues every now and then in our lives, its how u deal with it that matters, good luck to u hun and i know u can do it xx

    Sending you positive vibes!

If you decide to do the whole exercise diet thing, maybe try focussing on the health reasons as well as the dress size and most of all, enjoy it (exercising is addictive and actually releases endorphins that make you happy, the happier you are, the more you will exercise and reach for the biccy tin less).

I've actually gained 7lbs since I got engaged 3 months ago! I'll be working on shifting that! xxx

Thanks girls, its just playing on my mind so much. Usually I'm a 'it starts on monday' girl... but I've woke up this morning and started straight back on weightwatchers (i've got allll the stuff and don't go to classes).

It's just that, I hate how I look, not h2b. I'm actually getting worried about the photo's now, I want stunning pics, and I just don't think I'm going to like them :( And I've got family coming that I haven't seen in years and I'll have put at least 2/3 stone on since then and as much as people say they don't , they'll be thinking 'wow shes let herself go!'.

My dress pulls me in, and I've never really been one to care about my arms, they're a big flabby but its all on my tummy. But recently I've noticed a crease appear when I lift my arm up which much be where extra flab has gone :(

We got this machine from freecycle that tones arms and I've been using that. I can't manage too long on it though, its sort of a strange thing... It looks exactly like an exersize bike in shape, but you sit on the seat, push your feet and pull the handles towards you, pulling yourself up, so you're lifting your own weight.

Going to my mums today and I think she said something to do with why am I looking to buy a bike when I have one at hers I can have, apparently it's got a puncture so we're going to fix it, but I'm picking that up today so will try bike some. I'm so unfit, and its scaring me.

I keep looking at bigger people than me and thinking, ahh they're alright and not had a heart attack or something. But then when I get tired from running up stairs or something, or get a twang in my side, it makes me worry that my weight is going to kill me :/

Plus I need to lose weight before I have a little baby, its not fair cooking a bun in this chunky monkey!

    xx

Hi Hun I know how you feel, my dress wasn't due in until June! Got a phone call on Thursday to say that it's ready and when can I come for fitting!!! I was doing well at losing weight and then had a setback! I have to go and try it on on Wednesday coming and am stressing so bad that it doesn't fit! It's knocked all the excitement out of what should be a happy moment!!! Xx

Oh ladies, please try and stay positive and believe in yourselves that you can do it but most of all remember that you look gorgeous regardless of whether or not you lose weight ................H2B is marrying you for the way you are now!

That said, I do understand how you feel, 5 years ago after I'd finally managed to get over a breakup with my ex-bf, we'd been together 5.5yrs, it took me 3 years to get over him, but I decided one day I was so unhappy with the way I looked (I'd put on all the weight whilst I was with him) that I wanted to just shed the weight.

With determination, exercise and healthy eating, smaller portions but not denying myself (I still had fish and chips or a curry once a week) I managed within 9 months to lose 2.5 stone and drop from a size 14/16 to a size 8.

You can do it! But always remember, the man in your life loves you just the way you are and you will look stunning in your pix on the day because you will just be glowing and happy - that is real beauty! xxx

Also, to add to that, the reason I actually ended wanting to lose the weight was for health reasons more than the dress size. You just feel better for it, more energy, clearer skin etc.

I would exercise in the evening watching Supersize vs. Superskinny ;) xxx

Thanks girls. Today's gone well. We managed to skip lunch by accident, so has left me with more points for my tea, which I prefer to do anyway.

I prefer to have less during the day and have a 'bigger' meal at night to enjoy :)

After a big tea, I'll still have points left :) Once I get on the scales next Saturday and I've lost weight, it will be the kickstart to carry on :)

It's just hard cutting down as we've got used to eating huge portions, cause I've been used to cooking big meals when I lived at home feeding 6 people, so it ended up getting shared between 2 of us! So huge portions, and the cutting down looks tiny.

However! Potatoes aren't very high in points on the old weight watchers plan (discovery, which I'm doing) so it means that half a bag of aldi salad potato's is only 5 points, plenty to fill me up! :)

Oh! And I made some sugar free jelly earlier, hopefully it will be set by tonight so I can eat it :) One of my problems is eating when bored, so at least if I'm eating jelly, and it isn't putting weight on me :)
