I am having 4 bridesmaids in 4 different colours, Lilac, Purple, Dusty Pink and Yellow, and I am wearing Ivory.
We wasnt going to have chair covers in the beginning, but now I have decided it is what I would like to see in the room, so have booked Ivory covers, and the wedding co-ordinator at the venue asked what colour sashes I would like......
When I told her my bridesmaids were 4 different colours ....she suggested it might look nice to have all those 4 colour sashes, and I cant visualise it.....do you think it would look like it was meant to be that way, or would it look like we had just found a bunch of sashes and decided to use them, regardless of colour. LOL Would it look messy?
If I dont go with her suggestion I will probably go for a pale gold/champagne colour that matches the bodice of my dress.......

I suppose it might look a bit like this.....

Would you randomly mix the colours up - or say have one table pink, then another yellow etc? If they are randomly mixed, i would perhaps be more inclined to go for the champagne all over to match the bodice of your dress. xxx

Hmmmm , had thought about randomly mixing them, so there is even colours everywhere. the sashes wont be like the above ones, they will be organza, so the colours wouldnt be so bright

i love the mixed colours, I really wanted that for our wedding but Adam would have hated it - ours would have been turquoise, cerise and orange. I say go for it, I definitely would if it were me :o)

Because you've having organza the colours will be lighter and won't look so in your face if you know what I mean!
As your bridesmaids are in different colours too I say go for it, will look stunning!

Personally I would probably go with the champagne colour to match the colour of your bodice. xx

I think personally I would also just go for the champagne. Our colours are pink and lilac but I didn't want it to be too overwhelming so we're having white chair covers with white organza sashes.

we're having ivory, so if I went with something other than the bridesmaids colours it would be pale gold or champagne. I still dont know, theres only going to be 18 chairs anyway.....+1 highchair.
PLUS.....I have decorated birdcages with flowers, and in the bottom of the cages to hide the oasis I have put Ivory tulle, so I suppose I could go with Ivory.....

I'm glad you mentioned the numbers RaggedyAnne as this something I was thinking about when I first read the post earlier. I think that the mixed colours could look really effective in a large room, with loads of chairs. But I thought it was you that was having a more intimate do. I'm not sure that with a smaller number it would look right. I think, on this occasion, I'd be tempted to stick with the pale gold/champagne.

I think I wold stick to the colour of your chief bridesmaid, I personally do not think it would look right with a mixture. But it is your wedding, your choice xx

Completely agree with LK - was going to say having tables of each colour would be nice, like Kev's Angel said, but if there are only 18 then all one colour is best methinks :)

Yeah I have decided to go with pale gold sashes......I think too many colours in such a small space would look Mickey Mouse-ish...
