there is only about ten weeks left until our wedding and we booked a wedding package which was great value but we still need about four grand between now and ten days before the wedding as it needs paid before!i am so so stressed out worrying how we are going to get the money together!!! :(

eek! how had you initially planned to pay it, have you savings? will you be able to put enough aside from wages between now and then or is there anyone who can help or loan you the money so you've longer to pay it off?

both my parents are deceased his is divorced so not much help there,i have some money in the credit union but does anyone know how much i would need in to get a loan of that amount?only have 319 in at the minute :-/

we have been putting every bit in but all the little things add up too and ive budgeted on everything and shopped around

your best bet is to have a chat with an advisor - explain how much you need, how much you guys are earning etc so they can see how long you could reasonably pay it over. fingers crossed they'll be inclined to help you out as it's for a wedding. i think it will look worse to the venue to leave it till the very last minute and not be able to pay up, whereas if they see you're trying to get a loan sorted, they may even give you a little longer to get the full amount paid, even an extra month might help?

whatever you do don't resort to those companies on the tv ads that give you money straight away and then charge like 2000% interest or whatever it says in the tiny tiny print at the bottom!!!

have you already sent your invites? if not, could you maybe cut the guestlist? is there a way you could maybe change your menu to a cheaper option? is there a cheaper package you could go for?
what about raking in some favours with transport and saving on wedding cars?
have you got your cake? if not could you use a tesco or asda wedding cake.....they do small medium and large tiers and a 3 tier cake would cost you a mighty sum of less than £40.

are you having flowers? could you do them yourself?

Have you already done gift list? I've made a wedding website and we've asked for money towards honeymoon as wedding presents (in a nice way!), because people are RSVP-ing on the website most of them are giving us money as our presents now and actually, I'm going to need that money for wedding so will use now and try to replace some/ cut back on spending for honeymoon. Is a little cheeky and may only get you a little bit of what you need but every little helps! I also went and spoke to my bank and explained situation and they've upped my overdraft, which I don't want to have to use but looks like I may need to. Really thought we were going to be OK for money, and we've cut back on a few things but now with 7 weeks to go am realising it's going to be very tight!

all i can do hun is to wish u the very best of luck and i truely hope an answer becomes available soon, its so depresing worry about how to pay for it all with a time limit attached, Could u car boot any thing? sign up to do agency work? cut back in general on shopping and daily life things- e.g we used to spend a fortune on nice food and i used to cook family meals all the time, now we live on cheaper meals and food?
