We need to chose a veggie option for our main course Starter should be ok as we like the veggie options
So the options are below and i know its early but just would like to get some opinions Im not a vegetarian so votes would be great as well as your feedback as im not exactly excited about what is on offer!!!

I vote for the pasta, mainly cause no veggie can complain about pasta!
Had to look up risotto and pesto and it doesn't look appealing lol.

I've gone for the Risotto and Pesto. I love pesto and if h2b liked it then I'd probably have it daily. It's something a little different too.

I like risotto, but I only really like mushroom risotto. and I loath aubergines with a passion......spit spit spit!!! so I voted pasta, pasta is quite filling too...

I voted for the risotto - I think the pasta isn't particularly special and so may people dont like mushrooms. Why dont you ask some of the vegeterians to get their preference

It doesn't sound like they have been very adventurous with their veggi options, pasta or risotto? and it really isn't the most exciting risotto choice at that. One of the ones we find popular for weddings is Goats cheese and med veg in filo pastry on a tomato sauce. Or roast veg wellington with mushroom pate, So like the traditional beef wellington, but with roast veg inside instead.
Don't mean to sound harsh saying they sound dull, but as someone who LOVES eating veggie food, I wouldn't order any of these :) xx

Your options sound FAB!!! Loving the Goats cheese & med veg filo pastry! Think i'm gonna have to make other suggestions to the venue (nearer the time clearly) as i too thought the options were boring!

I voted ask for other options. But this is a personal taste thing (and im not generally hard to please when it comes to food lol), aubergine has a proper nasty texture...as does risotto - and mixed with pesto/!?!?! umm.....pasta...is just pasta and would hope for the amount you pay for a wedding meal, they would do a bit more then a plate of pasta.....
I am yet to choose for our veggie option, but it will either be a medeterainean(sp) vegetable pie with the seasonal potatoes etc.... or a goats cheese and sunblush tart with various wot nots going on...leaves and balsamic vinegar...i think i would prefer the tart.
but like i say, this is just my personal taste xxxx

Yeah I voted for other options too but Im not a vegetarian. I do tend to eat the vegitarian option a lot because I generally prefer them tho. My veg option is roasted peppers stuffed with cous cous with boiled veg. We had a taster and it was quite yummy :-) If I was to choose one Id probably go for the Risotto :-)

Some places are only just starting to experiment with more interesting veggie options. Ours aren't too bad but there is room for improvement: smoked cheese and vegetable parcels / 3 pea rissoto / mushroom chive butter sauce with cheese (can't remember what kind off hand lol) / and something else that I can't remember x

I am vegetarian and wouldn't be too impressed by those options at a wedding. i would choose the pasta if that was all i could have though.
Def think something more exciting would be better.
