Ok ladies, how much do these really work?
I have 9 days till the big day, and my dress is still slightly tight around the bum area..... My aunty sent me a £50 m&s voucher so i was wondering if those magic knickers actually do any good, if they will help me at all i shall go get a pair just to give me a bit more room and confidence in the dress on the big day.

I used to have a pair from m&s and they just made me look bigger. I would go in a tight skirt and try on every pair they have to see if they help.

I dont think they do a huge amount but may just be enough to make the dress feel a bit better
I'd go and try them and see what you think

My only other concern is that they may be a bit of a faff to get off when you need the loo as the waist band goes quite high up

nic squared, some come with like flaps that over lap that you separate for a wee, or my aunt cuts the gusset out of hers.

I've heard the Gok Wan ones are fab too Janie, I've used some before and they seem to have flattened out a few wobbly bits, also made it easier to get some clothes on, so i'd recommend them if its just a bit tight, would give you those extra centimetres of comfort x

Also 9 days!! so exciting x

Thats probably where you get what you pay for i had the shorts from debs (own brand) and they dont have the flaps!
They were pretty uncomfortable as the legs kept rolling up too :s

I got some trinny and suzzanah ones and they do work for me, they just tone everything up and suck you in, probably only makes about half an inch difference but its better than a slap in the face :) The only thing is i have the short ones and they roll up my legs and roll down my tummy, maybe they have gotten too small and thats why as i have piled on the weight.

I would give them a go though, you have vouchers so your not really loosing out if you dont like them :)

Oh wow! 9 days!! Thats so exciting!!! :D

I git one dead cheap from mat a lan. that was an all inone jobbie type thing with a gusset bit so you use the loo ok. it certainly smoothed out the lumpy bits, held me in a bit firmer and made getting clothes on easier, was £15 I think and that included delivery as I got it online x

i've got some from Primark and they also do a strapless dress type so you don't need to worry about the toilet incident. if you don't want it to fall down look up sock glue, irish dancers use it keep their socks up, i swear by it, it literally rolls on and just washes off easier than tape
