Just had a call from our venue. This goes to show ladies, just because you have a package, you can still remove/add other bits to it. I would never of thought to ask what i did, had H2B not suggested it!
Some of you know we are leaning towards a band for our evening reception rather than a disco. Our package at the venue includes the DJ/Disco There is not room for both a DJ/Disco & a band so its one or the other H2B suggested asking the venue, if they will offer a deduction on the package cost if we did not have the DJ/Disco provided by them
Just had a call to say if we chose not to have it, they would take £200 off the package!! YAY!!!!!
Now i know most DJ/Disco's would cost more than £200 but i thought we would not get any money off at all.
Happy happy days, cant wait to tell H2B when he calls on his break from work!

A little bit of cheek will save you money. I never try and pay the price they asking. Even if i save £5 everything seems sweeter.
Have a cheeky grin on your face when you ask but be prepared to pay full asking price but you'll be suprised who will come down in price.
Hope the money you have saved is enough to pay the band. YEY GO YOU !!!

Im a bit of a wimp and much better at asking for things via email than i am face to face!
Mum is paying for the band as our wedding gift so its £200 that can pay for part of the flowers or infact, the whole venue dec cost was £217.........i feel a cheeky email saying call it £200 and i will pay you in full now!

Oh i would lol. They tend to over charge anyway and never costs that if you could get it from wholesalers. The worst they could say is its full amount, your not loosing out and you could be suprised

Ive managed to talk £200 off wedding car prices, and £145 from the venue. Im buying the dresses online but even then I'll send a cheeky email to them to see if i can get it cheeper seen as i'll have to take to local dress fitters anyway lol

well done! unfortunatley the dj is in with our package and have to pay the same wether we use him or not and on meeting him he doesnt seem to impressive so am going for some kind of evening entertainment.I have to ask things though as my h2b doesnt like too.xx
