From the minute we got engaged I knew what colour theme I wanted for the wedding. I wanted Cadbury's purple, But I could never really think of a theme to follow in the wedding. Well I said I wanted an escort tree instead of a table plan and then H2B said we could name the tables after different tree's as he used to have a job working with tree's and he loved it. I liked the idea as it was something that ment something. Anyway, the other day it came in to my head to have a star theme for the wedding as I love everything about stars. I have a telescope to look at them, I have books about them and I could sit and look at them for hours. I thought I could really go somewhere with this a theme as I wanting lots of sparkle and glam in the wedding. SO I asked H2B what he thought, said we could name the tables after the constellations and stuff. He then said ' I thought we were going to name them after different tree's'. So now I don't know now if I should talk him round to what I want, or have what he wants as it's actually some input from off him and I'm always moaning at him to have more input. If we do name the tables after tree's then I thought I could just the whole theme on tree's but don't think if work with the glam side of things. :( Just don't know what to do

Could you do both? During the day have tree's and then in the evening change to stars?

I see what you are saying hun. Have you talked to him about the 2 ideas and asked him to pick the one he prefers? Why not do mood boards for both and then let him see ....... I think for the glam side of things, stars might work better as opposed to trees and would fit in with your cadburys purple scheme x

The theme could be trees and stars, like a night in a forest. Lying under a tree staring at the stars... YOu could have the tree for the table plan and all the tables names after trees, but you could have like little starry sequins around, or balloons with stars on them, crystal drops... It could all tie in really well

I like the idea of the stars, but if h2b really wants trees then i'd compromise. I like EMC's idea of a nightime forest atmosphere? That would include both and would look amazing x
