I've just bought tickets for me, my oh, my bridesmaid and her hubby to go to the National Wedding Show in Birmingham in a few weeks, and I was just wondering if anyone has been to the London one that was on a few weeks ago? Or went last year?

I don't really know what to expect other than you just wander round.......do you book suppliers there or just take their information? I do know you can try wedding dresses on so that's when the guys retreat to the bar haha.

    Also, any tips???

    Thanks
    Laura

Hey Laura, I went last week. All I can say is that I hope that they took my complaint letter onboard! I was seriously disappointed. I wrote in another thread a while back, I'll try and find it to bump it for you.
I hope that your experience is better than mine x

I am going too with my mum on the Saturday, we got free VIP tickets as my friends works with the NEC so chuffed.

I have been twice before with my mum for my mums wedding and a friends wedding. I would suggest comfy shoes, packed lunch as the food is expensive and a good mood haha !! You just wonder around all the stalls and they will have examples and samples to look at and can chat about their products. Sometimes you can buy stuff/book and then they sometimes offer discounts otherwise i take brouchures of everything and can review everything when i get home.

They have wedding dresses to try on and often cheaper but it can be really busy and not like a private appointment in a bridal shop so be prepared to be busy. There is normally a catwalk too with wedding dresses. I would never take my H2B though as bore him, it is very female orientated and not many men there plus i enjoyed it as a girlie day with my mum

    Enjoy xxx
