Hi everyone - ive been looking about, and am finding it very difficult to find something to get as a thank you to my son for being our page boy/ring bearer. He will be almost 9 years old on the day of our wedding. Any suggestions, ideas etc will be most welcomed - Thanks xxxx

I was thinking of getting my son a money box. He's carrying a frog shaped ring cushion and they do a money box the same shape so was thinking of getting him that, but he already has a few moneyboxes so it won't feel that special. I was thinking of getting him a silver engraved yoyo (as he'll only be 9) and he loves the cinema so was thinking of getting him his own cinema card for when just the two of us go for our mum/son days :) x

What does he like? Does he have any obsessions?
It’s so great to find that one special person
you want to annoy for the rest of your life....

I think I might get my 8 year old nephew a game, book or whatever he wants that I would normally get him for a birthday or xmas as I want him to really appreciate it and see it as a genuine present of thanks for him being my pageboy+ring bearer. I might get a little something extra like an engraved thing for a keepsake if its affordable. xxx
Going by how things have been recently it'll need to be trains for ours (our son). Preferably trains than his other 'thing' - dont relish the thought of him doing new jigsaws on the dancefloor at our reception lol x

I have been thinking the same thing, as my son will also be 9 when we marry. I am thinking of getting him a silver chain or something similar. Its hard to think of something that he will see as special for the day instead of something he would get for birthday or christmas, i also have my god son being a page boy too, he will be 5 and i have no idea what to get him!

I have just been reading another thread and someone posted that they are getting their page boy a train with their name spelled out with a letter on each carriage, may be a bit young for a nine year old but it might suit your 5 year old Nikita? Or how about something like a watch? Or maybe you could get him something that his dad has that he could have matching on the actual day like some cufflinks or a tie pin? I know they sound a bit old but it would be special as it would match his dad? xx

We've got our 3 pageboys pirate ship money boxes. They could have been engraved but I went against it (it was £5 more as well) but they've actually come with the plaques to engrave and stick on and my OH works at a jewellers which has an engraving machine so we are going to get their names engraved on the plaques (for free) and then they can put the plaques with their names on if they like.
I was thinking of getting them St Christophers at first but for a nice sized one it was quite expensive and you never know if they'll wear them and at least the money boxes they can keep on the side.

I bought my son a skull and cross bone keyring with a lucky sixpence in a personalised gift box. Was quite cute and he will like it.

Thank you or all of your suggestions, My son has loads of money boxes...he does'nt use :( he wont wear jewellery but thats a good thing as he does free running so will end up caught up somewhere on a necklace or wrist band)....he really liked winning a trophy for his school work recently so that made me think ....on the bay of e, there are really lovely well priced tropheys, Im going to get one of them, have it engraved with his firstly name, BEST PAGEBOY and the date of the wedding on it. then fill it up with sweets xx I also love the idea of the glass for juice. Again on the bay they can personalise them to the colours of the wedding - like grey suit with green ties, hair colour and of couse his name - so i may do that aswell, Thanks for getting me thinking ladies - much appreciated as always xxxx
