I have made mine from blank postcards. Written save the date on one side then our names and date on the other with their postal address on too. Posting mine two weeks after we give notice hoping to give notice the day after a year before.

I made mine, designed them on publisher and printed them. They look fine and cost me about £10 in card.

our venue supplied ours for only 50p and they have gorgeous pics of the venue, the address and you just write in the time of the ceremony and the persons address you post to. See if your venue have anything similar.

We got save the date magnets from Vistaprint and sent them out about 16 months before the wedding because we were getting married away from home. I think we sent them about April 2010 and got married August 2011. This gave guests enough time to arrange time off work and hotels/transport etc as it was the peak season in Gretna so places tend to get booked up quite quickly.

Mine were from a shop on eBay and they were lovely, they were fridge magnets. I don't do cheap looking things, i'm a bit of a snob lol, so it's worth looking again. C x
