Wedding Forum - How much my wedding is costing me......I'm...

hi i have not been posting much so i though i may give everyone a update and let them know how much im spending on wedding and how you can do it on a tight budget if needs be.

registry office (epping) £123.50
decorations for pub £100 of the bidding site lol
buffet for 15 people £100
have asked family to pay for there own meal at the reception for wedding breakfast it is £15 for a 3 course meal
money for me and h2b at reception £60 for food and drinks
my mum got my wedding dress that was £175
mil2b got h2b suit that was £100 to hire
my moh is getting her own dress for wedding
im having my sister and h2b sister as bridesmaids so the mums are paying for there dresses seen some for £65 n bhs that i like
pageboy and usher is are brothers and as its the summer we wont bother with jackets so they just need black trousers and waistcoat with white shirt again the mums will pay for this
me and my moh will be doing mine and my bm's make up and hair on the day as im trained in beauty and hair
i have spent £50 on make up for me for the big day
£30 to have hair cut and dyed
nails and lip wax £26
my hen night is £50 for me for my meal and drinks
flowers are £50 for wedding 7 button holes, brides flowers and 3 bridesmaids theses are real flowers too having gerbera
my wedding shoes gots me £15.00
wedding cakes is £35 for 10x12 rectangular mil2b is paying for that
transport is mil2b car for h2b to drive him self to registry office
my moh is taking me to the registry office along with my bms and my stepdad
music will just be on a cd player
photographer is mil2b partner so got that for free


i think i worked it out that we will be spending £800 on wedding i did estimate £1,000 for are wedding. we are only having a small and close family do with 30 guests joining us

let me know what you all think and remember at the end of the day it is about you and your partner not how much you throw at a wedding (you need to still be able to afford every day stuff)

thank you yeah i have got 2 big pages of pics and videos i want the photographer to take, making my own table plan layout i had a bit of cardboard and used me to you wedding wrapping paper to decorate it and will use ivory paper stuck on to brown card to do the names, also made my table names using card and the wrapping paper i have one table called me to you, other one is blue nose friends the other one is tatty teddy. last night i sat and wrote out my brides speech.

i am also making my own order of the day books have used brown card and chocolate ribbon and ivory paper

here is a list of what i have left to do
15th of April is hair and make up trial for me and my bridesmaids
26th may shopping with my moh for her dress
may-June shopping with the mums for the children's outfits as they are at a age were they are growing so we not been yet
1st of June pay registry office
18th June pay my flowers
22nd my hen night
23rd of June is h2b finale suit fitting
24th June d.i.y day making 10 gold bows
31st of June salon pamper day

day before wedding
clean house
go view flowers
go view cake
have helium balloons pumped
have dinner
go and decorate pub 7.00pm-9.30pm
10.30pm get home
then i have to wash my hair have a bit of pamper and chill with sil2b as she is staying the night

so at the moment im a bit bored as i don't have much else to do so i am trying to work out but sometimes lose my motivation but i want to try and tone up and lose 1 stone

yeah im just wondering how i will sleep the night before now and i wont get to rest much the day before as i cant leave it to h2b as i want to know it is what i want, he is coming to the pub though there will me be my moh and mil2b and then at 10.30pm after the pub h2b will go back to his mums

im just bored now as not got much eles to do lol so get to rest for 3 months lol

im not doing gifts either for wedding i will do my moh though and my mum and his mum will get flowers but that's it the favors is the sweet buffet as they have bags to take sweets home to

i wish i could of had a more expensive dress but my mum was being a pain and kept lowering the price. i have just updated all my photos for people to see as not been done since last year opps

Sounds like you're doing a great job with it, wish I'd only spent that much, but my mum would have killed me if I hadn't have had the "big" wedding! Would have loved just a small do, with people who I really care about x

today me and h2b deiced are wedding dance song Chicago - You're the Inspiration, we have to go through songs now for the disco part
are registry office songs are bridal march to Disney beauty and the beast non Celine Dion version singing of marriage certificate we will have journey open arms and for the bit were we get ready to walk out we will have Roberta flack - tonight i celebrate my love
and we have 10 hours where we can play music and so far i have 118 songs written down lol h2b will be putting the songs on to cd's lol as he is in charge of the music making

Wow, very impressive. We have a small budget too. xx
