Our venue has a big black & white chequered dancefloor, and that's what sold it for me as I wanted to do an Alice in Wonderland themed wedding. Not based on the disney film, but more the Lewis Carroll book as it was a favourite of mine as a child. Hubby-to-be loves the idea as well. All along, I was going to have red bridesmaid dresses, red flowers (roses or red gerberas) and I was even going to wear a 50's style wedding dress with red sash, and red shoes. But just recently I've been thinking maybe blue would be better with the theme? I was thinking a tiffany blue. So blue bridesmaids, and I was thinking blue chaircovers with a black sash.
We're getting married in March next year, which is when Daffodils are in bloom and I thought these would make an inexpensive centrepiece in a teapot, as yellow goes beautifully with blue.

Argh, now I can't decide!! What do you think?

what about a mixture of all 3??
So you have the bridesmaids in blue, red roses everywhere and then you could have red and blue sashs on the chairs or blue sashs with a red rose in them??
Have blue shoes for your something blue and maybe have a red underskirt under your dress as these look FAB with 50 style dresses!!

I also think of blue, and think the teapots and daffodils idea sounds fab. But you'll have to have something red for the red roses and the Queen!

Mix of both! Have the bridesmaids in red but yourself with blue accents like a blue sash and/or a blue petticoat and a blue bow in your hair (could have a birdcage coming down).

    Like this dress

And these shoes are an ideal nod to the queen of hearts

If you go for an ivory dress with blue accents I'd wear the ivory ones with the red heart. If you choose a white dress the blue ones - though that might clash with the petticoat or sash.

And lots of playing cards accents! Can have themn as buttonholes or centerpieces... Teapots and cups obviously. You could put the daffodils in giant teacups or cheaper and easier to obtain in many different teapots.
Eat me tags on all cakes ocf. And you need to scatter clocks and bunny rabbits! :-)
