    Hey everyone,
We were thinking of having a sweets theme for our wedding. We want a sweet buffet (we're going to make it ourselves as it'll be more fun that way lol) but we also want sweets as centrepieces, and personalised sweets as favours. However, my wedding also has a princess theme, as I have a big princess dress, lots of crystals and sparkles everywhere, and princess/cinderella themed guestbook etc. Will these two themes go together or would it look a bit mismatched? And is anybody else having either of these themes that can give me tips/ideas? :)
    Thanks!

I am having a Disney Princess theme, and personally with all I have planned as centerpieces being each princess I like per table I could not fit anything else, but if you have enough room to incorporate both themes why not.

Sweetie trees make fab centerpieces! I don't think it will look mismatched if you do it well x

I love the idea of the sweet buffet. In my head I can see them going together but as long as you stick to sweets that are pastle coulours. If this makes sence.

u can get disney princess sweets for the favours but the centrepieces could be sweet trees (type into goolgle and bay of e) and then the sweet buffet can just be thing u like

You can have each table themed like a princess and the favors could be

    Jelly Apples - Snow White
jelly frogs - princess and the frog
    Jelly Hairbrushes - Rupunzial
jelly monsters/mirrors - beauty and the beast
    jelly fish - little mermaid

    etc etc

I think it goes well together - Shrek combines all fairy tale princesses and has sweetie elements like the gingerbread man. And the fairy tale Hansel & Gretel is partly about sweets - I think it all goes together really well.

Or you could have large Disney princess dolls as centrepieces and decorate their dresses in sweeties of the correct colour? That way its a cross between a centrepeice and a sweet tree.

Would take a little bit of work but would definitely work.

Also for favours - have you seen the Disney Princess Pez dispensers?

Also I see your date shouldn't fall too long after Easter next year - you always get loads of disney themed buckets and gift sets around then that you get use as favours or gifts or centrepieces etc.

Working on a 3 dream plan for the next 5 years!

Some great ideas girls, thanks. I didn't want to go too much into Disney princess, I was thinking more traditional/girly princess such as horse and carriage, and lots of diamonds etc.
I love the hansel and gretel idea though littlemissbossy, makes me want a gingerbread house! Lol :)
