In a bit of poop at the minute and H2B fuming at me ;o(
Looking through our budget last night and the IMMENSE spreadsheet that is my life, I was wondering how we could only have £1000 left to save when we need to pay out £7000. When I looked into it more closely, I realised I'd taken off the price of my dress from what we needed to save as mum and dad have paid for this but I hadn't included it in the 'need to pay' column anyway, so we're over £1000 down. Eek.
Been looking at our finances and it's going to be a VERY lean 4 months as now need to save an extra £250 per month - have no idea where it's going to come from as our finances are already stretched to the limit. I have stuff on the bay which I'm selling and H2B has a couple of gigs in March so hoping that will help, but jeez it's stressing me out.
Feel really upset that I've missed this and it's caused murder with us.
God whoever said planning a wedding was easy is a big fat liar!

I am in kinda the same situation, as my mum offered to help us saying she'd pay for our cake, and more, but has not given me more details, but what she doesn't realise is those things need paying before she'll come see me, and I don't dare asking her how much, and now I am stuck on SSP as I was in a car accident, and unable to go to work, and losing £1.500 due to this, and decision made at work not to give us a raise this year, it actually already feel like the worst year of my life at the moment.
Soon to be Mrs Gary Doublé
Everything is now booked
Getting really stressed and excited now

Ah lysblanc that's bad about your work. You should say to your mum that you need the money. My folks and H2B dad have offered us money and where my folks keep hounding us asking if we need it yet, my FIL2B hasn't budged. H2B has asked him a few times and now it's just awkward. ;O(

We didn't really want to get into debt for the wedding...we are paying for things on the credit card but then paying it straight off for extra insurance.
We've cut down our cake budget by asking my cousin's wife to do it for us (but still paying her) - but then on that note, I've just started a new thread asking whether we should now invite them...lol. Typical!
Have stretched our monthly essential money a bit more and should hopefully be able to get it together. Will just be a tight 4 months!

I'm sure your OH will come round, it sounds like your very organised anyway having it all down on a spreadsheet so it could of been much worse, it happens to the best of us. xx

Boooo. It's pants when you think your spreadsheet is the bees knees, then BOOM, you've miscalculated! I've done it loads of times. My OH keeps checking it, and it's always him who notices the fatal error. Doh.
Like the others have said, its only 4 months, and I'm sure it'll be worth it! xx

I know - It was 6 months to go on Friday just gone but we've put 4 months left as most things will be getting paid off then and I'd like a couple of months to gather any last minute / emergency cash we may need - plus we'll need those 2 months to put the minimoon spends aside.
