Ok well I havent finished yet as my ink ran too low but.... I was thinking of black flowers as my colour scheme is red black and white. I thought of buying white silk flowers and dying them black but when looking at Dylon this stuff is not suitable for Nylon and the bloke in the shop said that the flowers are most likely to be made with Nylon.

When asking what he suggests instead he suggested colouring them in with FELT TIPS!

I decided to test his theory by buying flowers from poundland and also a pack of coloured permenant markers.... this is how far I have got....

Like I say they are not finished as my pens ran out and I still have to check they will not leak colour....

the pens i used for them were only used for them and that is all i managed to get done with those pens before they ran out of ink tho! I think I will spend more on the pens than I will on the actual flowers!

You could try to seal with edges with a lighter or clear nail polish, it would just stop them fraying :)

the fraying you can see is how it was bought.... but it would be a good idea if poundland did clear nail polish lol

It's so clever but cheap and easy. Just say one wanted wanted to do their fella's football team colours! In my case they would then be blue and white (Birmingham City)

I'm having real flowers but am impressed with yours, am also thinking Christenings....pink and white or blue and white etc x

    why patience?

there are layers of petals, all i did was take the flower apart, colour a layer of petals then put it back together. nothing to it.
