Anybody going to the Scottish Wedding Show in Glasgow in February?? My mum and I are going, just pre-booked our tickets :) Would love to hear if any of you have been before or know any exhibitors that are specially worth seeing :)

Me! I booked my tickets last week. I went to the last one in Sept it was great, gave me loads of ideas but we hadn't really started looking properly then. Although it is where I bought my wedding dress lol.
This time a few of the exhibitors I was hoping were going to be there again are not but there are others in the same categories so I can't wait. It was a great day out last time.
I am heading for the Sm00ch stand to get my appt booked up :-)

we went to the one in September and it was good, but since me and h2b never got sleep the night b4 (upstairs flat went on fire had to evacuate!) i didnt enjoy it. but the exhibitors there are really good and so much to choose from. im going back in february as i have a few wee things i still need to get, so im more excited for this one. will be going with my bridesmaids and no dad, h2b or mil going this time!!!. go and see the catwalk show its always a good place to start as you can visit the stands afterwards. and if u wanna get a coffee be quick as there is never enough seats in the cafe area.

ooh, will def take that advice on the coffee! mum needs coffee to keep her going! yes we've got tickets for the catwalk show too, am very excited :) haven't really got anything at all yet as still in early stages but hoping for some ideas anyway, and just a good day out...might borrow h2b's credit card...ahem...!
kitkat85, what's sm00ch? make-up? am being a bridesmaid for h2b's sister in june so is quite good to get practice run at hair and make-up etc before our own big day :)

it's a wedding ring company it has to 'o's rather than '0's but I don't think we are allowed to put the name on here directly. I have heard great things about them. so really looking forward to it.
I couldn't get near the cafe last time. Had to settle for some wine instead lol

ah right, doh!! that's a point actually...hadn't even thought of wedding rings, just know we want plain ones, that's about it! think i'll cope if i have to have wine...
Wanted to find this again to ask any ladies who live around Glasgow or who have been before whether I'd be better off driving and parking, or getting public transport? I don't know Glasgow that well at all, but I do have a SatNav...!

I went last year, was great but defo right about the cafe! I drove and got a space no bother even though I only got there about an hour after it started x

Did anyone go the the SECC wedding fayre? I was there on Sun & felt it wasnt as good as Sept had been... wasnt as many suppliers either & to add to it my wedding dress was on the catwalk! xxx

I was there on saturday. I enjoyed it but i hadn't been to any before so not really got much to compare it to! Did get plenty of ideas without feeling pressurised into any decisions there and then. Will definitely be going back in Sept! xx

i was there sunday got my bm headpieces, my new florist, my stationrery booked fg in a few places for dresses, kilt hire sorted, my jewellery, mothers gifts and some decor......really chuffed xxx

I was there on Saturday too, was completely terrified by some of the cakes - seriously, ten tiers?? Covered in feathers?! Apologies if anyone's cake was like that.... I also went to the catwalk show and thought it was funny how an entire audience of mostly engaged women went bananas when the guys came out in their kilts! ;)
