We went for Ecclesiastical. They cost about £50 and are very flexible, we aren't having transport as all our day is at the same venue so you can take that bit off, add other bits or change cover amounts. I spent a good while looking at insurance and while some are cheaper they aren't always best. I would suggest you read reviews before paying any money. I looked into E&L and the reviews were awful. At the end of the day there is no point getting insurance if they aren't going to pay you if something happens. Read all the terms very carefully.

We went with E&L too.

we went to deb en hams and got a free gift card. They have different levels of cover if you have extras but we just got one of the basic ones I think x

We went with myweddinginsurance as they were the only ones that would cover us for a wedding abroad and then a reception back here a month later. Most places would have covered us, if it weren't for the bigger gap between the wedding and the reception. We paid £28.

does wedding insurance include any liability cover for DJs? I'm having my brother DJing but he doesn't have his own insurance as he normally works in clubs which obviously cover him. I'm not sure whether I would need to take out extra for him? If anyone can help I would be grateful :)
I must be crazy giving myself only 6 months!

Most include public liability insurance, but I'm not sure if that would cover the DJ - I think you'd need to check individual policies/companies for that x

Hi everyone
I have literally just joined and havent got any nice pictures, etc yet like all of you :( I'll figure it out though!
Anyway, I have recently got engaged and we are all systems go as we plan to get married in October 2012.
Before we book anything, we wanted to take out wedding insurance, just in case anything should go wrong. After a lot of research, Dreamsaver wedding insurance is looking like the best option for us as we wanted something that would cover costs in case of redundancy as there was a bit of uncertainty late last year with my job and we don't want to get into any problems paying balances once we've booked suppliers, venues, etc in case that should happen again.
It doesn't look like any of the other companies provide that cover, but we are really keen to hear reviews from anybody who has dealt with Dreamsaver wedding insurance before we commit to it.
I've seen some good reviews for Ecclesiastical, but it doesn't look like redundancy is covered in their policies? Does anybody know any different?
