Hi! Im looking for cheap wedding invites, but everywhere seems so OVER priced, so I also thought about making my own...does anyone no if this is a good money saving way or have any good ideas, as im not brilliantly creative thanks

I've made ours and they worked out at £1.12 per invite and soooo easy to make. I'll bump the thread for you about invites and my pics are in my album if you fancy a peek. I'll put the link on your wall if you want.

We are going to buy a template off etsy - they sell there between £10-20 depending on design. Ours is around £16 - we then buy bulk card stock off the bay for a few pounds and will print at home. Works out for about £0.60 per person but have not added price of envelopes yet. Photo of our template is in my albums.

my MIL is making ours, simple cards, both sides folded into the middle, small piece of ribbon wrapped round the middle, and maybe a small flower on the ribbon, simple and elegant!
Or try vistaprint, they CAN be cheap

Slash, the bay of e has some gorge ones! we found the ones we want on there last night...50 for £8!!! (including your own text, guest names and ribbon - they come as a scroll) so no need to hand write everything. When the time comes we'll be getting 3 packs so 150 invites (mixture of day and evening invites!) for £24 - they do it in diff colours too. Best bargain we've come across on bay of e and the guy has realy good feedback too :-)
