Yep. I was really down last weekend. We'd had the gift list delivered a few weeks ago and I did all the thank you cards last weekend, which really made it feel like all the celebrations are over. I know that we now have the marriage, but I'm going to miss all the planning, the ups and downs of it and the excitement of it all. You're not on your own babe x

I felt lost once we got back from honeymoon. I'd also been at uni and only just handed in my last assignment the week before the wedding - so I felt like I should be doing something but there was nothing to do lol. I was working in a school then as well - and because it was August I was still on holiday as well lol.

I've finished up trying to fill my time - and now started a new hobby. Every Saturday I have clarinet lessons then play in an ensemble - and I've been doing this since September. What with this on a weekend, then all the rubbish I've gone through with work - I'm now busy looking for a job so definitely back to normal, and been busy again now lol.

The honeymoon was lovely. We spent lots of time being together and doing great things. It's weird going back to normal but it's nice not having the stress of planning a wedding. Planning (and trying to make) a baby is much more fun. We seem to be more 'together' now if that makes sense.
I'm still on a high but it seems your reaction is more normal than mine.

Hope your photographer can sort this out - my dress had a black mark on it left over from Vegas, when we had the London do. He photoshopped it out of our pics. He also touched up our Las Vegas sign pic and took out the people in the background as well as the cables over the top of the sign, so I'm sure yours can be fixed with a bit of touching up. Worth asking, for sure. Hx

When we went outside and the guests threw confetti over us - some bright spark grab a whole box of it and stuffed it wherever they could, mostly down my cleavage and all over my hair lol.

I spent the time between the photos very unladylike 'scooping' out all the confetti from the front of my dress. And on all the pics after that there's random pieces of confetti stuck in my hair. I suppose it's just another thing to remember the day by.

I hadn't noticed your dress til you mentioned it Maria - but if you think it's a problem, have a word with your photographer. Maybe they can do something about it.

Yeh, think most people experience the post wedding blues, we booked a trip to the new forest so we had somthing else to look forward to xxxx

The first time I got married my mum and friends did most of the organising! I lived away from home and left a lot of it to them! It was all really old fashioned and by the book, there's far more things you are supposed to do and can have these days. When we got back off honeymoon we moved into a married quarter (husband was navy), then it was Christmas, then we started a family and then we moved back to the Midlands so the first couple of years was busy.

This time most of it is up to me and I think about it constantly. It's my refuge from crappy work. I don't know what I'll do when it's all over! I'm certainly not having/want anymore kids at 46! I think doing up the house and planning another holiday may help a bit.
