Hi everyone i was at the spa open day for my wedding venue yesterday and the venue dresser people where there too showing off some of the styles so i had contacted the same people a few weeks ago and they were going to do all the chair covers & sashes and table decorations for £160 which i thought was a good deal but when i went to see them, they have offered me both the ceremony & the breakfast/reception room's fully decorated with chair covers & sashes, starlight backdrop for all the windows and starlight table skirt for top table and all the table decoration's, diamontes, tea lights, tall vases, flowers ect what ever i want on the tables really, the staircases decorated, petals on the ailse in the ceremony room and a postbox with a plaque with our names and wedding date that we get to keep, plus i got chatting about a cake as she has a nice one sitting, she said if i buy 3 tier cake from M&S she will decorate it for me too, all this for £300. what do you all think , good deal or not?? thnks xx

im having 60 in each room so it works out 120 covers even though were only having 60 guests, they said it was less hassle for them to just decorate both rooms in the morning and that way its all done for the hotel, and im not too sure i think there will be top table plus either 5 or 6 tables so all will be decorated
That's a great deal - get it in writing!!!! for a starlight dance floor and backdrop and uplighters around the room I am paying £600!

What a good deal. Im paying £180 for 90 chair covers & sashes (and i thought that was cheap) so to get everything else on top too is fantastic x

Thanks everyone, its good to have a comparison to how much everyone else is paying, sometimes when i get told everything im getting it can cloud my judgement of whether it is actually a good deal or not :-) Yeah they are sending me a booking form with everything im getting in writing, they wouldnt take a deposit either until they have it all down on paper with copies for us & them so they seem to be pretty good :-) x

im in livingston, but im getting married in ayrshire, thats where they are based, ill put the link on my wall for you all :-) Defo going with them though, the woman sent me a pm on fb to say she had got it all in writing & is sending me a few pictures along with the contract so i could get ideas of what the hotel could look like once its all dressed xx

My mums motto was speak to three of the same and then undercut to gain - so basically find out what the average price of the three ones ur happy with is, then go back to the cheapest one n say well if you do it for this and maybe chuck this in then i'll take it! God i love driving a hard bargain! x
