    Hi ladies,

Haven't been on here properly for a while as things have been a bit crazy with work and not been doing much wedding stuff recently, but I finally got my act together and booked the registry office! We were very lucky as Bromley let you book quite a bit in advance, which was such a relief as my no.1 worry was that we wouldn't be able to get either the date or time we wanted (had an awful nightmare that we'd end up with a 10am ceremony but we don't have our reception venue till 5pm!). But it's all fine! They didn't have our 1st choice time of 3.30pm but we got 3pm instead which actually works a lot better as realised that 3.30 was cutting it a bit fine! Now we have extra time for photos/drinks/people getting lost/things going completely haywire lol.

Can't believe both venues are now booked - this is all feeling very very real now! :-D

How exciting, we provisionally hed our date as that's all we can do if we book before the 12 months. So on 24th of this month we can give notice with the registrar for the area we live, then when that's complete we go to the registrar for the area where we're getting married. Due to our local registry office moving this week I can't book an appointment until this friday. Soooo can't wait. did they ask you lots of questions etc? x

    Thanks ladies :-) It's such a relief!

ClareE - Had to give them our full names (luckily remembered OH's middle name!) and contact details. Embarrassingly I don't know either my mobile number or my house phone number so had to ring them back the next day to give them those details! And almost couldn't remember what council borough we live in lol. They must have thought I was such an idiot! As we don't live in Bromley borough, we have to give notice in Croydon which will be the 'hard' questions lol. Your lucky you got to get a provisional date! When we were originally going to get married in Croydon, they wouldn't let you book anything till one year before! Ridiculous!
