I was just wondering if any of you are having your H2Bs father as the Best Man? My fiancé is having his dad as his best man as he says that it is him that knows him the best and has been there for him the most. I think that it is really sweet. When we asked him, his dad was so moved that he cried.
Any thoughts on this or experiences with this? And how did your fiancé choose his Best Man? Thanks. x

I think thats a really sweet idea, after all a best man is supposed to be someone who knows you well and has been there for you. I bet you will have the best best mans speech. x

Ah yes I hope so. The Best Man works as a captain of a ship and he might be wearing his uniform. That would be cool! x
My h2b and his dad are going through many ups and downs, my h2b was his dads best man when he got married again.
And for our wedding my h2bs eldest sister will be his best (wo)man - they are truly the bestest of friends and very very close.

Yes mine is doing that too, reason being because H2B says he's known him the longest!! His dad was quite surprised, kept asking if he wanted to choose any of his other friends instead but H2B is adamant, so that's what he's doing - I think the speech will be quite sentimental!

I can't wait for the speeches. I don't think the best man's speech will be that embarrassing because I don't think fog is that kind of person. But you never know! x

My h2b is having his Step-Dad as his best man. His real Dad died when he was young and then his Mum remarried Glenn and he adopted them. He is such a wonderful man and am relieved more than anything that he has asked his Dad cos I know h2b won't get up 2 much at the stag do! He's brilliant at speeches 2!
I think its a lovely idea. u can't trust anyone better then ur mum and dad. x
