Hi ladies, Havent been on here for awhile we have postponed our wedding from 2012 to 2013 as this year has been such an expensive year we havent even started saving :(

Ive been to a different bridal shop recently and have now decided on a different dress-which is only £685 and looks amazing! The other dress I planned to get was £1100 so quite a saving-I can now get my dress, shoes, veil and tiara most likely cheaper than just the dress would have cost me! So thats my outfit sorted

I have 3 BMs my two sisters and sister in law to be and my best friend whos my MOH, my BMs are going to be easy to dress they are all around a size 8-10, my MOH wlll be more difficult as she's an 18-I want to get her dress sorted before the others as I want her to feel happy and comfortable with what she's wearing.

we found a purple dress in debenhams which looked gorgeous on her and is £130 so price isnt too bad, Im unsure if to dress her differently to my BMs though and maybe put them in silver dresses as my colour scheme is purple, black and silver?

Problem with that is I cant find any silver dresses in store only online :/ Id rather see the girls trying dresses on before I buy them and have to send them back if they arent right if you know what I mean?

I've been to weddings where the MOH is dressed differently to BMs so that is fine - as for your silver dresses, you have ages yet so don't panic yet about not finding anything in time!

I am doing everything on a low budget.

Found my dress on the bay of e for £30 and will buy for another £15 bits and bops to customise. Petticoat will be another £10 ish. Shoes between £30-100 - depending if I find them in time 2nd hand.
BMs are all buying their own dress (none will pay more than £40) - they got given a colour and style, but they can pick the finer details themselves.

For the invite I'll buy a template off etsy and print them myself on cardstock I'll get off the auction site.

I am sourcing all my deco via the bay, car boot sales or am making them myselves. Lot's of this will serve as give aways.

Cake maker is a friend and will do a good price, stylist is a friend and will do all the girls for free (I don't need a stylist). Photographer is also a friend and does this for free. Both ladies I will pay in favours.
I really don't care about transport to the venue but I think I'll ask an aquaintance who has a vintage car to be the chauffeur - we're getting married at the same place as the meal and party will follow so he wouldn't be needed much.

There's "only" food, venue, room rent and registrar to pay - and that's already expensive enough. We're doing a mixed spit roast that does keep the cost down but it's also what we want, we never wanted a stiff sit down meal.

This leaves us with the grooms outfit and our sons - and as I know him I won't convince him to keep this totally low budget.

Thank you for replies, Ive picked up alot of ideas from the bay of e, If I can get everything sorted with a manageable budget I'll go ahead with next year, if not it'll have to be 2013.
