evening ladies, a very good friend of mine so kindly offered to make our wedding stationary as our wedding gift when we announced our date last year. i am so greatful but she still hasnt started and we get married in less than six months, how do i ask her to get a wiggle on with it! without sounding rude? i know she is busy with work and family life so i dont want to be pushy but we are really hopeing to get our invites out just before christmas as we can only have 80 guests at the wedding breakfast we would like to know sooner rather than later if people cant come so we can invite others. any advice would be very greatly recieved xx

perhaps a roundabout conversation starting with "how r things with u" kinda angle, then work towards it? mebe subtly drop in that you have ur guest lsit sorted n need 2 get yourself organised enough to send out invites? (know its not u needs 2 b organised :P ) mebe ask if she has any designs thought up? xx

Maybe casually ask how the invites are coming along? That doesn't seem too pushy to me. If she still hasn't started them, just explain how you were wanting to send them before Christmas and if she could start them you would really appreciate it. hope that helps. xx

could you not start with a general conversation and then say something like your sending out your xmas cards early so there out of the way and was hoping to send the invtes with them. x

The first time was a rehursal, this time its for life.
Maybe get yourself a couple of ideas and when she comes over on Friday ask if she minds discussing with you for 5 minutes. Also let her know that you're just trying to get an idea of timescales of things and were wondering when she was hoping to get them made for? My friend is making mine and I'm picking them up in 2 weeks. Like you I want to get them out before Christmas as I think December will be a write off in planning terms xx

Can you casually let her know that a caterer needs final numbers by a certain date as a way to make her hurry up. Its something that people may need to book places to stay over too if you have guests travelling to your venue?? If Christmas is a write off with your planning then it may be a write off with her making too?? (not to panic you) xx
