Hi! Got my wedding shoes today, Benjamin Adams Gaga!! Tried them in the shop and they were totally comfortable, plus I was relieved I couldn't see my toe creases, so put my money down and they ordered me in a new pair which were sent to me today as the ones in the shop had a slight mark on them. However, when I tried them on they weren't as comfy as they're new, so I'm wondering the best way to break them in? I've looked online and people say to wear thick socks but as I'll only have stockings on on the day, will this overstretch the shoe? And I can see my toe creases in the new shoes, will this disappear when the shoes are broken in? Just want to make sure I've spent 200 pounds on the Right shoes for me rather than ones that will no be so comfy on the day! Arghh!

the only thing i can suggest is wearing socks and using them in the house on carpet, i would have thought just normal socks though, not thick ones as you said might over stretch them xx

Wear them around the house with a pair of socks over the top so they don't get dirty/any thing spilt on them!
They are gorgeous shoes though :) I wish I could wear heels like that LOL!

You can also take them to your local shoe repairer and they put them on moulds that stretches them slightly. It takes 24 hours to do, then you can go back and try them on to see how they fit - if it's not enough they pop them back on for you!

Heather thats a great tip about socks over the top!

just wear them a couple of times a week. i actually wore my shoes out a couple of times too. i also got gel cushions to protect my soles but i still ended up with a huge blister on crease of toe/ foot. i had my shoes on from midday to about 8pm then put flat sandles on xx

Haha becky I never break my normal shoes in! If they're for a night out I just aim to drink enough so I can't feel my feet and if they're for dinner I slip them off under the table! oops

When me and Mr Midgley went to the National Wedding Show, the bridal coach advised cutting off the bottoms of thick tights and wearing them over the shoes. This stops them getting dirty and scuffed. Also, it prevents your h2b seeing the shoes and ruining the surprise. xxx
