Are any of you thinking about having a caricaturist at your reception? i like the idea, but unsure of how it all works...i have looked on a few sites which are reasonably priced but it does not say what happens....i have approx 90 guests....he would not be able to do all of them bless him! x does anyone have any knowledge or been somewhere this has happened? thanks xx

We're having one - he charges £350 for 4 hours and said he can draw around 100 pictures in that time. He is one of the fastest in the world and goes to the world championships each year. He was the first thing we booked after the venue as H2B saw him and wanted him. I wasn't fussed, but it gives people something to do/talk about.

sister had one at hers and he worked on the guests while we were getting the piccies done. kept them amused during the cocktail hour while we were away!!

I've booked one too, he's £125 for two hours. He draws us first and then will mingle round everyone else doing drawings. He can do about 30 pictures in that time. Cant wait, never been to a wedding where this has been done before ;D

we had one, he arrived at 7 and was there til gone 11 all for £265 he had a queue all night long, out of nearly 200 guests there were not many who didnt leave without. They are a cracking idea

hey hun we are paying 250 for 2 hours. He can get 14 black and white or 7 colour done in an hour of single ones and he said he is happy to stay longer should either we want to pay him to stay longer or guests who may have missed out. We are going to get him to do one of us but after the wedding by sending in our fave pic as he will do it digitally and do a background of our venue and everything,
He recc to book between the bridal breakfast and evening do i.e. the 90 mins where guests are left to their own devices.

as an added, get your photographer if u are keeping them this long to take a photo of your guests with their cariacture as this will be kewl and quirky. That is what we are hopefully going to do x
