Thinking of having singing waitors for our wedding breakfast, but dont know how much I can get them for, as it obviously depends on that,
Does anybody else have any ideas for a nice surprise for h2b??xxx

The singing waiters are quite expensive, Croc had them at her wedding so ask her how much she paid..
My h2b just has a surprise car and then I've put together a "something borrowed something new etc" but in a mans version, the old is a bottle of whiskey, the new are cufflinks, blue is boxers lol its all really nice stuff and then I've made up a pamper pack, aftershave, shaving foam etc

NavyBaby - I havent got price's yet cos i hadn't decide what type of shoot i wanted bridal or not but they have a price list on website thats on my wall x

For singing waitors around here we had one quote us 3 and a half thousand. They just got everyones emails from a fair and sent a quote to each person, we weren't interested in them before and certainly not after hearing how they value themselves!!

I wouldon't even pay that for our photographer, or my dress! Our venue is the most expensive thing! And that includes waitors maybe not singing waitors, still waitors though!!

i have bought my h2b an antique pocket watch... he loves them. he can wear it on his waist coat for the wedding day. it only cost £300.

He doesnt know anything about the idea Amy, I am trying to think of a nice WOW surprise for him. My friend organised fireworks for her husband, and I would like to do something of the sort. xxx

Hmmm not really being on wow surprises for my man so I'm not sure what to suggest really.
Are you getting married in a church or having a civil ceremony? Just thought maybe you could try to arrange something along the lines of when the band surprises the couple in the church in the film Love Actually. I don't know if this would work unless you were in a church though as I'd notice if it were strangers sitting in our hotel to watch us get married, whereas a church I don't think I would.
Or maybe you could surprise him with some vows he never expected, or a speech, if you havn't discussed this already. I know some of the brides are writing to football clubs asking for autographed cards or tickets is he interested in football at all? Could you surprise him by inviting someone who he thought was impossible to get there?
If your not going on honeymoon maybe arrange a mini break and surprise him with this? Or if you are, arrange an amazing 'something' that he would have never have thought of maybe a hot air balloon ride for example.
Maybe you could get an inscription on his wedding ring?
I'll have a bit more of a think....

the gift i got him i gave him back in october! so need to get something else.

to be honest, i hope the only person getting a surprise on the wedding day is me! I mean i have planned it all and organised everything with very little input from the other half. He had a say in all the big things, but he will only see all the effort and skill in brining colours and decorations together on the day.
would be nice to have a wee surprise on the day seeing as everything else has been planned so meticulously

Has your fiance been commenting on how weddings are all girl stuff? Give him a happy surprise by creating a special guy area at the reception. It could be a cigar bar, an activity area with games like vintage pinball or arcade games, or even a cool "man cave" in lieu of the trendy wedding lounge. The only thing to avoid is something which would permanently divert all the guys from the rest of the reception, like big screen televisions showing the NFL playoffs (you shouldn't be scheduling your wedding to conflict with the playoffs anyway!).
