Hi all! Just thougt i'd mention that when I went to my dress fitting I had to take my shoes (obviously) and when I had my dress on there was a little erm... incident. When choosing your shoes consider the type of dress you have and the details on the shoes...in my case my dress in tulle and I have diamante detail on my shoes and everything got a bit tangled!! It's not a huge problem just as long as you have someone prepared to delve into the layers of your skirt!! Just thought I'd let you all know =p

The reverse is also true. My shoes were all satin and I have beading on my dress and since I've got home I've notices snags on the satin of the shoes. Not that it matters as I won;t wear them again after today, but thought it was worth a mention.

Similar thing happened to me when I tried on dresses, my pointy heel got trapped in the petticoat. But I just had to walk really carefully and it was fine!
My engagement ring kept catching on the dress though, so will have to be extra careful about that on the day.

Good tips, another one is to make sure you try on your dress with your shoes on a hard floor, not a carpet as if they are heeled shoes they tend to sink in the carpet a bit and so don't give the true height, which ends up your dress may be a wee bit shorter than expected. Something I found out on my wedding day! xx
