    Hi
We have been to see our priest today....WOW I dint realise there were so many hoops to jump through.....lol
we are happy to do it though as it means the world to me and h2b to get married in church.
Our priest was great and went through everything. As my H2B is from Albania he offered to do half the ceremony in Italian as that is one of the languages my partners family understand ans speak fluently. The priest even told us it would cost an extra £250 if we videoed the ceremony because some copy right law on hymns!!!!!

BUT.......... what he didn't tell us wee what the actual fee was....does anyone know????

Also what happens if you can't get a copy of you baptism certificate??? getting any kind of paper work from Albania is impossible!!!!

My parish church (catholic) asked for £600!! That was just the fee without the extras. We've gone to a CofE church instead which is costing £320.

    Can't wait to be married!

Think it depends on the church if it's a catholic one as my friend didn't have to pay for her service, they just asked for a donation. C of E churches have set costs on there website for there ceremonies but u may have additional costs if you have extras such as choir, organ flowers etc!! Am sure they will have a generic website which you could look on.

Don't forget that if you are getting married in a Catholic church you have to pay the church fees plus the fee for the registrar to come out and legalise the marriage.
In CofE churches there is just one fee to pay because the vicar can legalise the marriage.
