As you can probably see by my other thread today is my cake sorting day. Just wondered what everyone else is having and how are you presenting them to guests? ...Plus I like these polls (-:

We are having two wedding cakes a 3 & a 2 tier (bigger is sponge the smaller is fruit) and we are just going to let people put it on a napkin... However I am going to find a really nice box (HELP WITH THIS LADIES WILL BE APRICIATED) to put a slice of each in for Adams nana, she rarely goes out of her house. I even suggested to Adam getting married in Lancaster but he said she still wouldnt come, so the weekend after we get married I'm going to take it to her x

We had a 3 tiered cake which was suposed to be brought out with the evening buffet but the venue didn't do it and I didn't notice until way too late. So we brought some of it into work and my mum kept the biggest one and is still trying to give us a slice everytime we go over! I can't wait until it's past it's date and she can't try to stuff us with it anymore!

we are having a top tier vanilla sponge cake with models of me and h2b, then 60 flavoured cupcakes underneath with butter icing and sugar butterflies on :)

we are having cupcakes including cheesecake cupcakes :) serving them as the dessert

We're actually having 2 types of cake, my mum is making the tiered wedding cake which we'll serve on tiered cake stands as dessert with the other 5 types of mini-cakes (think tea party!) and as favours my cousin is making massive cupcakes which we're putting on the tables so guests can tuck in whilst we're having the speeches!

We're having a three tier cake and a cutting slab and we're serving it with the evening buffet. xx

We are having cupcakes in jars, and serving them like that for dessert haha.

were having a 4 tiered cake with 2 dummy tiers on the top.the cutting cakes will be served as part of the buffet along with the cheese tower cake. The other 2 tiers will be cut and put into wee cake bags and given out to take home at the end. the kids are getting cakepops!!!

I havn't got a clue what our cake is going to be like my friend who has her own business is making it for us and I trust her so much she is going to make it a surprise. I do know it will be fab though xx

We're not cake people and I have no idea what to do. I wanted to get cake pops because they're really different but now I'm thinking I might have to get a friend or someone to make one. Luckily OH is a chef and his boss does cake decorating so might be taking that route. my mum keeps saying she knows someone at work who makes brilliant cakes and someone else who does flower arranging in her spare time and i know it saves money but honestly I don't know whether I trust having someone do it who doesn't do it all the time. hmmm

we are going to have coffee and cake on the vintage plates and cups in the turn around between reception and evening do

I'm making a replica of the castle we are being married in, with a dragon and phoenix perched on top :D I cant wait! Am also going to do individual celtic cupcakes to serve with the buffet x

i'm having a anime character shaped cake havent decided which character yet though.......probably someone from final fantasy :-)

I was going to just get an M&S or Waitrose cake, but we went to a fair recently and found the MOST AMAZING cakes! Plus H2B got a tax refund and so that'll pay for our four tier beauty!

Only problem now is, which flavours do we choose...

Vanilla Sponge

wow what a selection tinsel...

we were going to have a red velvet cake but was warned by our baker that its beetroot they use to colour it and they use loads of flavouring to get rid of the taste etc so isnt good for kids cos will make them mega high apparently. id pick the vanilla sponge, carrot cake, lavender and white choc with strawberries.mmmmm lol

future mrsmidgely im having a cheese cake too but struggling with a supplier up here...i love a cheese board and our venue doesnt do them but has agreed to let us bring a cheese cake in as long as its only for the buffet....

i'd have 4tiers of each ;) lol xx
