I just got back from a meeting with the woman who is doing the cake for our wedding. We're having a cupcake tower with a fruit cake top cake, and she's being really good about everything - in fact she says we're really laid back about it all! We're going to have 96 cupcakes on a 7 tier stand in silver cake cases with ivory icing, and then decorated half with navy and ivory hearts, and the other half with silver and ivory doves. She's ordering in a cutter for the doves especially for us! She also asked about cake toppers and when I said that I had seen one I liked for about £10-15 on ebay, she found it and said she would get it for us at a cost to us of just £5 because she would offset it against what she would have charged for her to make a topper anyway. So pleased - the entire thing is only costing us £140 as well!
