We all know that suppliers take the mick when you say "Wedding" they always bump up the price but now it's your turn to take advantage of the word "Wedding"
I have recently booked my honeymoon and as soon as we said "honeymoon" and "wedding" we had things chucked at us. We are off to New York for a week and I paid for a double room at the hotel, I emailed the hotel to confirm my reservation and slipped in the word "honeymoon" I later had a reply saying "we have taken the liberty to upgrade you to our executive suite to ensure you have a fantastic honeymoon" Bonus! I then found out wifi isn't included in the price, so I messaged the hotel on twitter, I had a tweet back "We have added wifi to your booking free of charge, enjoy your honeymoon". I have today booked a hotel room for the night before and the night of the wedding, double room bed and breakfast, on the phone the lady I dealt with said "I've upgraded you to a suite and included an evening meal for the friday night"
If I wasnt already flying 1st class I'd try blag that too.
Whenever you get the chance, mention its your wedding or honeymoon and see what you can get!!

Make sure they are free upgrades though!! some places may say they are upgrading then slam the price on top once youve agreed!!
Still great for getting upgrades if they are free!!!

Well done Mel! We've managed to get two upgrades on our honeymoon. One because it is our honeymoon, the other as it's my birthday when we're away. You've got to love that! It's restored my faith in firms after seeing so many prices rocket after you mention the word wedding. xx

When booking our honeymoon to mauritus we got lots of little extras and upgrade as it's our honeymoon. No flight upgrades though :( But I will be hinting at the desk when we check in, like in friends when Monica and Chandler go on thier honeymoon lol

afraid with going to the Maldives, the majoirty of people are on honeymoon so we cant really try to blag anything!
