My mum has been amazing and really involved with my wedding planning, she's been so helpful and I couldn't of done this without her. My OH's mum on the other hand has not been so helpful and it goes as far as not even asking how the planning is going.

My OH and I had planned to send my parents away for the weekend as their thank you present, they have contributed a lot to my wedding and I really want to pay them back BUT what do I do about his mum? I don't want to give her the same gift but I don't want to embarrass anyone by presenting my parents with flight tickets and then just handing his mum a bouquet.

Shall I give my parents their gift before the wedding or do I bite the bullet and get his mum something "a little" nicer??

Its easier to get them both the same kind of gift to give on the day in front of guests....and give your parents the special gift before the wedding. xx

Ohh that's a good idea, I didn't think of that. My parents would of already had their gift so I could just present them both with flowers... I actually feel like getting his mum flowers is pushing the boat out! lol

As lovely as she is (cough cough) she's not taken the slightest interest in this wedding and its got to the point where my OH actually rang her and asked her what her problem was, turns out she just didn't realise we wanted her involved?!
She was more interested in our honeymoon than our wedding! And I feel like a hypocrite thanking her and presenting her with a gift.. thanking her for what exactly?! lol
