Hey. Our wedding was booked for 21.07.12, but we've had a few financial disasters recently and have found all our cash has had to be used on other things, and so after a lot of soul searching we decided to postpone the wedding, the idea being we will have more time to save up and have the wedding we really want. We're re-planning for 14.12.13 I agree its the best and most sensible thing to do, but i cant help feeling gutted. Anyone else had this happen?

Yeah I was meant to get married 14th of may this year n have had to put it bk to 2nd June next year, you don't want your wedding to put ur money into trouble, it means. More time to plan n get everything just the way u want it

Kind of. About 3yrs ago it was either get married in the next 2yrs or go onto have a child and put the wedding back. And as you can tell we chose to have a child xx

Yes 26dec09. thats how im trying to look at it. i guess im just dissapointed, i was getting excited about it being next year. x h2b and i already have a baby together too mrsL2Be, he's 16months, so i guess it will be nice for him if we wait a little longer too. he'll be bigger and know more whats going on xx

I was supposed to get married on the 27th August this year but with H2B just returning from Afghan, financial and time issues we postponed until 16th June 2012. I was gutted also but just think you have more time to do wedding things!!! :) xxx
we were planing on getting married 20.04.2013 had to postpone 6month as for money reasons... now we are getting married on the 23.10.2013 :)

Aww loucubitt1987 such a cute age!! I've got a 3yr old girl and a 5wk old boy.. By the time we get married our lil girl be nearly 4 and our lil boy be 11months lol :)!! They both get to be there and be nice memorys for them xx

more time to plan and get things perfect =). i had mine ready to book for 2013 then we relised it might have to be 2014 then a changed of events confirmed we could do it in 2012. xx

Hey I was supposed to get married 28th May this year, we had to put if back due to lack of money and my sister in law to be turning round and saying "well I'm older than you and I want to get married then so you can wait till next year!!!" was very angry at the time and totally gutted as the date had a huge significance to us both as a couple. As it is my new date will be much better as have had much longer to plan and get it everything just how I want it. Try and look at the positives, and remember no matter what the date is your wedding day will be the best day of your life!!!! xx

we were supposed to get married in may 2010 but my partner was made redundant so we had to cancel, then we announced a date of 7th july 2012 and again few problems financially and things cropping up so had to postpone again. i then thought im sick of waiting and i dont wanna be waiting 5 years to be a mrs so i said thats it we r getting married next year so its back on for 8th sep 2012. it will be done this time no matter what, its a smaller wedding than we previously would have had but all the more special and with 4 kids there was never really gonna be a dream 20 grand wedding! unless i win the lottery then it will be in a months time lol got my fingers crossed 4 that always!

we were originally wantig to get married in either may 2010/2011 but we ended up having another 2 kids!! lol plus i decided to go to uni
but now we've decided to go abroad and booked a few things and put down deposits so we ca't back out now!! lol
as much as i've always, ALWAYS wanted to get married, im glad i had my babbas instead :)

We had to postpone ours too. It should have been 25th June this year and we moved it to October 2012 to give us time to save plus the boys will be that much older to understand the day more.

Aw I know your gutted but my sister had to postpone her wedding twice and this time we are on track for 28th october :). No one wants to be told they have to change their wedding but if its going to really hurt you financially then its the sensible option, you dont want to start married life with a mountain of debt over your head.. It will be worth it when it all comes round so save hard and look at it on the bright side, u get all that extra time to plan :) xx

Your day will be here soon enough hun x I didnt have to postpone as such but I had a huge mountain of debt that I didnt want to take into married life, plus h2bs assets would then be seen as mine which wouldnt have been good. So we put off and planned for 2012 which seemed like a lifetime away but here we are, my debt thing finishes on the 1st October and we've only a year to go... lovely! x

We originally planned to get married August 2011, then we postponed to July 2011 due to money problems. But now we don't know when it will be because our venue has fallen through :( We are now looking around to find another venue so that we can get married August 2012.
It feels sad at first when you postpone, but the time quickly passes x

we were thinking of putting ours back because i bumped my car last month which cost me £250 excess which was simons suit money and a few weeks ago a new pay scheme was introduced at work because of government cut backs i will lose about £200pm wages :( but we have so much paid for now and our daughter age 7 is sooooo excited we cant back out she would be devistated. instead we decided to cut down on what we could so no car hire a friend will drive me, im doing own hair and make-up, getting cake from m and s and getting photographer for 2hours rather than all day and putting cameras on the tables instead. my brother in law to be said he will take loads of pics for us at the reception. we are happy, we just want to get married now and to be honest im pleased im saving all the money and we will still have a fab day xx
