just seeing if people think this idea is too much or over the top..... Our colour theme is cadbury's purple and white and we have two little kiddies (5 + 18months) so we thought a sweet buffet table would be fab and to have some 'cadbury' chocolate bars on it. what with having all the sweets on the table weve decided not to do favours but was thinking of naming our tables after the sweets that are in our buffet then have 2or3 favour buckets on the tables with that sweet on! is that a bit over the top with the sweets/cadbury theme??? xx
(just thought it was a fun way to involve kiddies..me being the biggest kid of all lol)

my daughter recently got engaged and is having a chocolate themed wedding lol and they are naming the tables after their favourite chocolate sweets so they are filling either bowls or something like that with that particular chocolate so it sems great minds think alike lol i think its sounds great hun xxxx

Naming Tables is a great idea. I also think it saves guests being offended at their table number, for example someone at table 6 might feel they have been put there because they are less important. I want to name my table but havnt a clue what theme to go with xx

ESTELLE..thats exactly what i was thinking!! and with it being mainly just family at our meal (both got very big families lol) some would be put on the higher numbered tables and i know some would feel offened! :) xx

I was thinking, with having an autumn wedding, we'd have leaves on the tables (false obviously) and names of trees for tables... chocolate sounds so much more interesting!

We're having Dorset coast names for our tables:
Weymouth Kimmeridge Poole Swanage
etc etc. My h2b comes from Poole and these are all places we love to visit together!
He's a fantastic landscape photographer so as well as having a name, it will also have a photograph of the place too.

i went to a wedding a couple of years ago that i had been out with the bride shopping for favours when i said ohhhhhh look you could have a walnut whip table ...after falling about laughing at the naughty aspect of my comments this is what she did ...
she put cake stands in the middle of the tables with one type of sweet on in .....eg , walnut whips...curlywurlys....tootiefrootie etc ... and during the reception people were going from table to table "swoping sweets" it was fantastic and got everyone chatting
I love this idea, especially the buckets of chocolate on each table! I personally would be in chocolate heaven!
And I like the idea of swapping sweets! Especially if you have a little prize for the most mixed up bucket of sweets, or make a little trivia between tables where the winning table gets to 'steal a sweetie' from another table and the prize goes to whoever has the most sweets?
Either way. BEST. CHOCOLATE-RELATED. IDEA :D
