    Hi,

I dont post very often but love reading everyone elses ideas. I could do with some help on an idea i have, here goes.....

I love my function room, however there are two serving stations in the back of the room of which we dont need but are stuck there, when we went looking round the venue they were hidden behind starlite back drops which looks fab but is very costly. So i was thinking of hiring one to cover the bigger one and hiring display boards to hide the smaller one. On the display boards we were going to have all different types of pictures such as other peoples wedding photos, our hen and stag photos (censored of course) our baby pictures, first day of school etc.

Does this sound naff? or is it a good idea? the company hires the boards out for five days at a time, giving me enough time to put everything on and off again, they are also quite reasonably price (around £60)

I know its not a must have to cover these serving stations up but they really are ugly, i dont know why they would want them in the room in the first place.

    Thanks for any feedback

    Becki x

It sounds like a really good idea. You could always try your hand at your own star cloth. I'm doing something similar with some voile and the netted fairy lights you can find on bay of e.

I think it's a good idea. You could use one of the boards as a backdrop for people to take photos, would work well if you are supplying disposable cameras on tables.
