End of March does sound a bit early but if you want it by then there is nothing to stop you, our RSVP date is 2 and a half months before the wedding giving us the opportunity to invite extra guests if there's space! xx

Yes ours is June and I was thinking of sending invites out for New Year then getting replies back for mid-March so 2.5 months for us too - we emailed out our save the dates in July though as a lot of our family are overseas so need advance notice for flights. We were also going make our invites a little less formal saying 'Dear.....you are warmly invited to attend the wedding of X and X, at [church name, time] and afterwards for a reception party at [venue]. We look forward to seeing you there!' with RSVP details etc.
Then again we're going to a friend's wedding early October and she only sent out her invites last week of July, asking for invites by end August - I was reminding her to get the invites out! Takes all sorts eh...

Ours is July and we're sending out invites at end of March asking for RSVP's by end of May which will give us 2 months to sort out / finalise / chase up etc.
i dont know i just thought that was the time you ask but so is everyone asking 2.5 months in advance

We sent our daytime invitations out at the end of July and have just sent our evening ones out last week with a RSVP date of 2nd September for our early November wedding - the problem you might have with sending invitations out too early is that people will forget that they have said they will attend. Try STDs for now, and send your invites nearer the time x

Think it looks good, but pleasure rather than please - think 2.5 months is enough notice in advance too, most people will reply so then hopefully you might just have a couple of people to chase up :-) xx

Sent out STDs with 10 and a half months left because of distance between us and family, my first lot of day invites (those furthest away) are going out 4 months before with a 2 week RSVP and then the rest of the day invites and gaps filled will be going out 3 months before with another 2 week RSVP so that some people from the evening can be bumped up to day and the rest, including evening will be put out at 2 and a half months before! I haven't much patience so we've decided that after the 2 week deadline if they haven't answered they will get a note asking for response before a certain date (probably a week to make up their minds) or their place will be offered to someone else! Then, if no response a letter saying "sorry you are unable to make it to our day, let you know when the pics arrive!" (I nicked that from tinsel!!!) Because I'm not going to spend the run up to my wedding chasing people who can not be a***d to reply in time! Mini rant over, lol xx

sounds great hun, as another alternative you could also put 'to witness their marriage' but depends on how formal you want it. also my friend got married last sep and we had to rsvp by april which noone questioned and to me it didnt seem early. i will be asking a bit longer than 2.5 months so if people cant come i can bump people up to the daytime and also we need to finalize numbers with caterers before that too x hope this has helped x

I've seen too many brides on here get upset about this problem, one lady had people dropping out when she'd paid for all their meals, one of which was the day before because "he had a gig!" wtf! So I'm not going to put up with it, lol xx

we sent ours in april/may to reply by 2nd july for our wedding on 2nd sept. all the day people replied but some evening ones still havent. i think we will assume their not coming! x
