I went to see a lady about a cake (mum works with her) it will be 2 tier (shiny) ivory, purple and lilac petals up the side with ivory butterflies, purple ribbon. Top tier is 8" sponge and bottom is 10" fruit.
Will upload a picture of where I get the idea from later!
Well she gave my mum the quote today of £175 with £75 being a deposit not payable till January 2013!
I was really shocked as I thought it would be higher.

its very similar to the one in my album but with an extra tier and slightly different flowers. i think its because we are having a lot of different flavours. trust me i would NEVER of paid that. my mum is making my sil2b at the mo too who is getting married next month and she is having abeautiful 3 tier cake and its only costing her about £50 to make x

the lady did ask what flavour sponge i wanted, i just chose traditional and no nuts in the fruit (better to be safe than sorry hey)
