think about how you want them to walk down the aisle, who will be in photgraphs etc. I like things symetrical, so I would go for pairs if they were walking down the aisle, or you might have them walking in one at a time. Do you want the same number of people on each side of the small group photo's, in which case, do you want a bridesmaid to balance the best man or to balance an odd number of parents (you may have a step parent or one missing for whatever circumstance you're in) etc. You might be happy that it doesn't matter if you have formal balanced photo's.
And who's sitting at the top table? Have you room for everyone, or is just the MOH going to be up there etc etc.

It's really personal preference. The other important thing is how many contenders for bridesmaid do you have? If you've bestfriends, sisters, sil's, daughters, nieces, god-daughters you need to work it out tactfully but how and who you want xx There's no right or wrong.

I am having just one and only because she's so desperate to be a bm, you'd think this was her wedding, not mine, lol

Blimey Kat! It'll be a wedding party even if you didn't invite any guests. It'll look lovely though. Are your twins identical? Sorry to be twinist, but that would be sooo cute, to have twins as bm's x

No they couldnt be any more different, katie is 5 cm taller than Abbie, their hair is different shades of brown, and Katie favours my side of the family while abbie looks like the bios side!, But they are going to be sooooo cute (will put a family pic on my page 2 mins)

Start with your budget and work out how many you can afford, I've my sister (moh) 2 daughters, son and nephew at the moment but I'm making the waistcoats and dresses so can probably do it a lot cheaper than someone having to buy them! xx

We had 2 adaults and 3 flower girls. All depends really on how many people you have close to you and what u can afford.

Currently I have a moh and one other bm but h2b wants his best man and 2 other groomsmen so I am considering a third for symmetry
