Mine cost £650 it has a 7" top tier. then 100 mini versions of the top tier. The cake lady is also making our cake topper. Fil2b has paid for our cake as our gift x

Our first quote was £595 for a 4 tier, but we have shopped around a bit and got it down to £395, inc delievery and set-up. We haven't booked it yet, still hoping to find it for less. It's just scary to pay £400 for a cake!
£200 for a 3-tier sponge cake in victoria sponge, chocolate and lemon drizzle. Cakes are 11", 9" and 7" xxx

We're having a 3 tier sponge cake covered in chocolate. Sponge flavours are going to be baileys, lemon and mint chocolate. My SIL is making it as a gift for us so it's free. My brother married such a lovely lady :) No idea how much it would cost if buying it. x

was quoted around £250 (50portions) only cupcake similar cake (more like form of tear drop shape) was looking gorgeous and tried it but found it to much to spend that kind of money... decided to make my own cupcakes instead in different flavors ... no my mum decided she wants us to have a proper cake as well with 2 or 3tiers so she wants to make that for us so it will only cost the ingredients :)

We have been quoted 475 for a three tier cake - pic in my album. It has a fair amount of detail on it and has the top tier separated which i think adds to the cost. We havent ordered it just yet.....

£90 for a 3 tier sponge (to serve 120 people) - bottom sponge is chocolate with chocolate cream, middle is lemon with lemon cream and top is plain with jam and cream! Yum!

Our cake was £80 from M&S (should have been £92 but was buy two get one free) plus about £5 for rods and dowels. Actually it was free as we had a credit voucher from returned christmas gifts.

ours is costing £70 im making itmyself so its just ingrediants,its 4 tiers 12 10 8 6 inch red velvet sponge with truffle filling covered with white chocolate fans roses and cherubs it would of been a lot less but the huge bar of white choclate cost a fortune.xx

there is a pic of the one i want in my photo album, the cake designer who did the one in the picture charges £595, the lowest cost I've got for a replica is £295. Although its a big difference I'm still cautious about spending so much on a cake!

Marks and Spencer do fantastic wedding cakes! You can choose from sponge, chocolate or fruit or have one of each! That's where I'm getting our cake from then our florist will decorate it. I'm also getting a couple of extra cutting bars from them too. Have a look at their website for decorating ideas. We got M & S vouchers for our engagement so we've put them towards the cake, i also got a M & S credit card to put all the wedding expenses on (just pay for your big wedding cost on it then transfer the money from your account to pay it off!) and used the points built up on that to put towards the cake too!

We're having a 3 tier made by my sister, so we're saving around £400 by her giving it to us as a wedding gift. Top tier is fruit to save for the first born (!), middle tier is lemon sponge and bottom tier is choc orange sponge. Hx

Mine was £130 for ingredients, cake stand, decorations, cup-cake transporter boxes and 150 individual cup-cake boxes. All made by my wonderful bridesmaid :D

mines is 360 and designed by h2b and looks beautiful on paper. 4 tier 2 dummy a fruit and plain sponge with 2 cutting cakes one chocolate sponge and the other a lemon sponge.
one of my bridesmaids is paying for the cake as a gift and my dads friends wife is doing it. she does all our family cakes and she said ours was the easiest to sort out. done in 10 mins!!!

Pixie how was ur cake? we're doing the same from M&S and my sister is decorating it, i love the fact there is a choice of sponge and u can add the cake bars for extra portions.

I am having 60 malteser cupcakes (around 3 tiers) top cake is chocolate with a dome of maltesers on top cost £205 but that inculdes £25 deliver so I got excellant price!!! bit of a bargian really and its tasted lush when I went for taster can not wait to eat it hahaha xxx
