My sister who is my MOH really wants to have a short dress with straps which is fine by me but as my search criteria is much narrower now I feel like we should be going dress shopping pretty soon, unfortunately it seems she doesn't feel the same. I'm getting married in 4 months and have tried explaining to her why I want to go soon but she just tells me to relax and that there's no rush. How long before your wedding did you shop for a MOH dress? Am I getting ahead of myself? It's not like I've done this before! P.S. It is only her and my 1 year old daughter that I am having as BM so I don't need to buy a dress that suits everyone

I've picked out the dress already! But then I'm making mine as she thinks she may lose weight, but I chose the dress b4 I asked her, I liked the style and made a pattern from it! Feel free to threaten her eg " come and get a dress or I'll find someone else!" Mine was "if you want to be MOH you'll be wearing this!"

We have already brought the MOH and BM dresses as they were in the Debs sale so were half price. Yes I think its early for us but not for you. I think you need to say that you want to go soon and these are the date options, if she doesnt want to the I think you need to re think about having her as MOH xx

I've got mine already! lol only because the were an absolute bargain!!! if they need taking in then one of the BM's mum's can do it but they have a stretchy back in them so they do give a bit.

Depending on where you plan to get the BM dresses from, you may already be verging on too late. Some of the designers who also do wedding dresses can take quite a while to come through with BM dress orders. Usually slightly quicker than their wedding dresses, but not much. If you're going more for Debs dresses or similar high street, you'll probably be fine.....

When I say designer, I mean the usual suppliers of BM dresses, like Dessy, Romantica, Veromia etc. So the stuff that bridal shops generally all stock.

yeah thats what I mean...I need to get my sisters dress for under £100 and whenever something has "bride" or "wedding" tagged onto it the price goes up 25%.
