H2B wants a light linen suit to wear for the ceremony and then probably just a waistcoat for afterwards. We cant seem to find something of a reasonable price. We don't want to hire as we will and up paying extra costs for having it longer than normal. But as its so cold and grey here most of the time H2B doesn't think he will wear it much after the wedding.

Any ideas ladies? If hiring wasn't so costly it would be the better option instead of having it in the wardrobe never to be used again.

i think hiring would be better, have you tried negotiating not paying extra ie if i buy xx amounts of suits will you wave the extra days hire, or look for one that does the groom free then you might be able to use that money to pay for the extra.

But then a lot of brides and bridesmaid dresses dont get worn again either. If i was you i would get costings and decide from there.

My dress is under £100 from the bay but the suits are coming up at £200. We only need the 1 as my dad & best man r wearing just trousers and waistcoat. We would have the suit for 2weeks to hire it so its a lot longer than a few days :(

Just had a look on e bay and there is quite a few on there. They are 2nd hand but then, if you hire a suit they have been worn before. Will put the link on your wall hun x

Yeah we have looked at Matalan, BHS, M&S and Next but the lightest suits are grey & h2b wants beige/cream. :(
