I know i've talked about this already but just wanted to have a small rant about bridesmaid dress sizing! my bridesmaid says she's a dress size 10 (good bust, slim hips lucky thing) but on a dessy size chart i found she is a 10 bust/ 10 waist and size 0 hip!!! I know she's enviously slim against my 14/16 frame but thats just crazily out of proportion!

When I was a bridesmaid I had to have a bridesmaid dress that said it was a size 28 I was an 18/20 lol

my cousin is around a 14-16ish and her wedding dress was a size 20!
Im around a 12-14 and Im now dreading the size of dress I'll be put in :(
i know its ridiculous!! im a 8/10(/12 depending where i go) and i tried a 10 on in my dress shop and it wouldnt fasten!!! was really disheartening!

im a funny shape i brought a dress for a night out but got it online from a major store so ordered two sizes so i knew one would fit but when they came the size 12 fitted my hips and bum but not my top half as it was too big but the size 10 fitted my top half perfectly but was a bit tight on my hips/bum i needed to cut them in half and sew the 2 different halves togther and would of had the perfect dress but i do think i have wide hips though hate them xx

i found that eternity bridal do true sizes. im a 10 and my dress is a 10. perfect fit first time, apart from bust needs taking in. and if my stress levels go up so will my waist lol. x

Mine's a maggie so maybe she does smaller sizes but I do have massive boobs! The woman in the shop told me I'd be a perfect ten if it wasn't for my hips and boobs! well duh!!! xx

im a 34G and have quite wide hips (hourglass shape) hope it wont affect my dress sizing too much :O
Usually wear a size 12 dress sometimes a 14 depending on how tight fighting they are, can be a 10-12 ontop because of my bust but usually a 12-14 trousers for my hips

laraine, there are some shops that specialise in dresses for curvier ladies - im sure they do ones that would look more amazing on you than someone who is straight up and down! and maybe also don't stock something that only a stick could fit in!
