we've got the top table with 8 on. then 7 round tables of 8 or 9 guests per table. mixed the families up a bit -mostly because the biggest family feuds are WITHIN each family and not between them (yet!). Also made a table of mine and h2b's brothers and some younger family who all get on so they have a whole table with no adults (this is possibly ill advised- not sure yet!) xx

Did you use the table plan tool on here?

I was playing around with this last week, it's quiet fun. We have four long tables and there will be about 40 of us. At the moment I have me, H2B, my dad, my mum, MIL2B, FIL2B, best man and my chief bridesmaid at the top table. I want to mix everybody up, which I think so far is looking successful for our families, but I have this tendency to group all our freinds together subconciously.

There's only 20 of us (18 guests and me and h2b) - so the 2 of us are having the top table, with 9 guests each side (so that the table is U shaped), like this (if it makes sense).

We have thought about this, as i have divorced parents and wotnot...we are just having a table of me and H2b, then 10 round tables
with family towards the front and members of the bridal party on each of the family tables if that makes sense, the online tool on here is super for mucking about with ideas etc.

    Ours is nearly done.

Top table consists of my parents, me and h2b, h2b's dad and stepmum.
We have to keep his mum and dad away from each other as they had a messy divorce and hate each other immensely. FIL2b was the choice for the head table because he's paying for half the wedding and also MIL2b has two children and it would be easier for her to be sat where she can feed and change the little one discreetly.

We then have 20 tables each holding 8-10 guests. We have two tables unaccounted for at the moment because my dad has messed up his table ordering and counted a few guests twice. So we don't know who goes where.

We've also decided to forgo table numbers (so there are no arguments regarding "ranking") and name each table after a flower.

We're having a long top table (Me, H2B, our daughter, our parents, and our fathers' partners) then I think it's 5/6 round tables with 8 on each......I think....!

I think our top table is literally going to be us, my 2 bridesmaids and the best man. I'd like to have my parents and my brother on there too but it would mean we had to have his parents there too and well... I'd really rather not. Lol. x

If you're any good in Excel it is a lot easier to do than the table plan tool on here - I find there is not enough space on this one and messes up quite a bit x
