Trying to work out who we can sit with who for the wedding breakfast but am finding it very diffficult. We have a very small venue so not many tables but does anyone know how many people can comfortably sit around a table without being too squashed in. Also our venue The Lymm Hotel in its reseraunt that we will be using has those half moon comfy couch type backs and normal chairs for the other half, I think this is gonna compicate the matter even more lol. Oh and one last thing are you sitting people who know each other together or mising the families up?????? xx

ask your venue about the numbers they advise putting on each table but 10 sounds about right. we are having round tables and putting 8 or 9 on each. and we are mixing up the families a bit so that everyone is with someone they know but also have others they don't know on the table - this is my strategy to limit the number of within- family conflicts - my theory being that they'll behave better if there are strangers on their table too!

Our venue has said we can fit 12 max around a table but I think this may be too much. We're not mixing up the tables x

At the planning stage, it can be good to write the name of your guests on small pieces of paper, and have some big pieces of paper to represent each table. Cluster your guests into several groups of 3 or 4 people who know each other. Place two or three such groups at each table where the different groups do know necessarily know each others. Place the chatty guests near the middle of the table and next to the more quiet guests. Also you may want to think who might have some topics of discussion that are of mutual interest. (job, holidays, kids, etc) Finally, make sure you have a good entertainment to make sure everyone relax quickly, for example *********************** .
Also you may want to alternate man and woman, with couples next to each others. M F M F M F M F M F M F M F

It depends on the size of your tables. I'll put a link on my wall to the place I'm hiring tables from, it tells you how many people can be seated on the different sized tables x

We're having the round tables I think and decided on 6ppl per table as we didn't want it to look "cramped". But then again we've decided to do a bbq instead of a "proper" wedding breakfast so now we're thinking maybe we dont need a table plan at all :/
