Hi all, I am in need of some help. My OH and ours finances have been flung on their head and so i am needing some help from you all, and since you gave me help last time, i again have came here for more.

I am needing to cut back several things about the wedding, like no parents etc gifts (we will take them out for a meal in september)
My mum has already got the guy fvours, so i am left getting the female favours. At first i was going to get them compact mirrors, but now i am having to cut this back.

What do you all think about mini mint hearts, in one of the little gift bags that you can get?, and would this look ok - considering my mum has got 3 minitures per male?

I have also cancled the piper, and cut back everything else i can.Really need to minimize costs :S

*oh and how many mints per bag?, each is only aboyut 1cm by 1cm. Should it be 10 or more?

could you not just give all your guests one miniature each? and put personalised tags on them?

have you got the bags yet? the £ shop have white (or ivory) voil favour pouches with a drawstring you could use also.. think theres 8/10 in a packet. Also if you didnt want to use mints you could use loveheart sweeties or any kind really xx

You can get and buy in bulk handbag holders from eBay. I think they work out about 99p each but you could get them cheaper if you were buying in bulk and you contact the supplier direct. They are used to keep your hand bag off the floor while you are out and about and where you can keep an eye on it so very useful too. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

You don't have to have anything to be honest, do you really need favours and gifts for people, it's your wedding after all, people should be treating you!

Can't wait until the day I become Mrs. Johnson :)

I was going to get the bags and mints from ebay - so it would cost only £15 for them all. Think ill need to see my mum to find out how many bottles she has got. Might try and give 2 to the guys, and 1 to the females along with the mints.

I know i dont need to give anything, but the mini whisky's we have already got. - or i could be one very drunk bride - lol

for the mints how about 5 each bag. Traditionally you use 5 sugared almonds to represent health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life

I agree with little miss weegie, spread the miniatures around between all your guests, have mints on tables 5 per bag, people do not expect gifts when attending a wedding, you have already paid for their meal !!!

I've bought organza bags from ebay about £5 inc p&P for 50, then I got almond shaped silver coated choc's and some heart shaped foil wrapped choc's. All in for 100 guests I've spent about £54 but you could just get the almond shaped ones.

Your supposed to have 5 per person as they are all supposed to represent something, like Health, Wealth, Happiness, etc...

I was doing everything to a small budget which has just been made even smaller as our landlord decided he wants his house back while we are on our honeymoon so we move next weekend. Our honeymoon has now been cancelled and the budgets for everything else have been shrunk.

Spread the miniatures around you don't need 3! just have 1 per person! that should give you enough if not then you can get a huge box for chocolates covered different colours from hobby.craft and you could give them 5 of those each aswell.

    Thats all you need :-)
