My daughter will be 11, and is waaay to old for the cute bridesmaids dresses but not old enough for the strapless dresses. Any suggestions for that inbetween stage would be great. I am wearing a close fitting knee length ivory dress if that helps with style ideas

My ten year old bridesmaid is having a smilar style and the same material as the adults but she is having straps put on the dress. I managed to get a dressmaker to make mine for less than the bridal shops and they are fab! She does bespoke as well as off the peg. It was the only way I was ever going to get them to match up without being ripped off from the bridal shops.

Junior bridesmaids dresses???

They are the same as bridesmaids dresses but are slightly different to suit the younger ones

I have 3 bridesmaids dresses all the same EXCEPT 2 are strapless and the 3rd has straps

So basically you think the strapless design, but add thin straps? I never considered getting it made - and as my h2b wants green, which I'm finding a difficult colour to work with that might be an excellent solution! Thank you all x

i'm having an 11 year old and she's having the same dress as the adults with straps if wanted, we've ordered the smallest adult size to and then alter it to fit, ive just posted my bridesmaids dresses with pics if it makes more sense

Yeah straps are fine and you could even get her a little jacket to match if you wanted to. It depends on what kind of green you want as I think BHS do some junior dresses but it might not be the right shade. If you are anywhere near Tamworth/Measham I can recommend a very good dress maker.

I'm on the Nottingham / Derby border. I might twist my mum's arm or even have a go myself as I have 9 months, although I've not made a dress in 2 years!!

My 11 year old bm is wearing this as she is so skinny the dresses like the adults with straps just didnt suit her at all !
It will be in green, we also struggled at first to get everything matching ! lol

Straps would be fine, my twins are 11 now and one of them has already decided she wants to have a dress which goes over one shoulder, I told her will wait and see as they will be 13 by the time we get married so no doubt being a teenager then she will want something completely different. : )

this happened to me,i bough her original dress when she was 10 and it was cream and pink with butterflies and a big bow,she then turned 11 and i thought nope it doesnt look right,i took them both shopping in the january and they both picked the same dress from the debenhams debut collection,alisha wore hers with the straps on and sarah took hers off,i also had alishas waitband studded with diamontes ,this a picture of her at our reception

My 11 year old daughter is such a tomboy she didn't want to wear a dress at all then I found the dress I wanted for my moh(my sister) had a good look around and found the same style in a different colour but with straps. She still doesn't like it much but I am bribing her with money to stay in it all day! Bad Mummy lol

My flowergirl will be 7 and I want her to match my bridesmaids but all the dresses look too old for her even adding straps I think they look like an adult dress with straps (if that makes sense) this is proving difficult! x
