My friend is singing at church for us (shes amazing) Im thinking....Feels like home by Chantal Kreviazuk when walking down the isle! Then Songbird when signing the registar?? what you think? I wanted "when god made you" (christian song, check it out on you tube) but its a duebt and only want her to sing so gonna have that as our first dance!

Also...do i pay her? IM presuming shes doing it for free but if i ask how much she wants she may get offened that i offered her money?!! But then i just dont want to presume its for free??!! Im def gonna buy her a fab gift tho if it is for free??!! What u think girls?? xx

Sounds wonderful! Music will be so important to us but to have a friend sing is all the more special!
I would just have a chat with her about costs as it is better than presuming and situations becoming awkward. Does she normally charge for weddings etc? If she is doing it as a giftn then all the better!

I have asked my cousin's husband to play at the service as he is a cornet/trumpet player, but haven't a clue what music I want yet! I have asked him in the same way as I would ask someone to do a reading, as I only want him to play while we sign the register, so not quite the same I guess when it comes to paying. Is she invited to the wedding? As if not, would be nice to have her there for the whole day as a thank you. My photographer is a family friend and offered to do it for free (we will pay for the prints etc), so I am inviting her and her husband to the wedding as a thank you.

Yes shes invited to the whole wedding, she would have been even if she wasnt singing! Shes a christian and has sung in a few weddings for friends from church, not sure if she charges, really dont think she does as its not a profession. I asked if she would sing and she was over the moon and said she would be blessed! Shes sooo good, she is through to the final of gospel rocks, final in london in July and if she wins she gets a recording contract, song realse on i tunes, video, trip to jerusalem!! I hope shes not to famous when its my wedding as she may not wanna do it anymore haha!! How do i bring the conversation up about asking if she charges???!!! xxx

My best mate is singing at the reception as she is also my Bridesmaid and a close friend of the pair of us is a guest to the Wedding but is also singing while I walk down the aisle. We're still deciding between Ave Maria and Panis Angelicus

My friend has an opera voice and is singing Ave Maria whilst we sign the register, he is also singing 'you raise me up' during communion. He said it would be an honour. As he is pushed for cash it is going to be his gift to us. Maybe suggest to her that it could be her gift?
At the meal when he goes to sit down in his place we are gonna have a slate of chocolate from Th@rtons with 'beautiful singing' and music notes iced on it waiting for him to show we appreciate his contribution to the day. x
