The advice I was given was after the age of 1 they can have a pillow.
Our son who turned 2 last January has a cot bed with removable sides. To be honest I wish we hd just got him a normal bed as the cot bed isnt very long and he won't be in it too long as hes quite tall.
Sheets and blanket are best, according to room temp and season. If you go in babies r us or mothercare they have temperature guides as to how many sheets you need for room temperature etc. Also advice on clothing. As long as you still put him in the foot to foot position he should be fine and make the bed so that the sheets are not too high up the bed that he can wriggle under them.
My advcie would be to maybe get a normal single or junior bed with a side guard or invest in a seperate bed guard. And consider if you havent already buying a room thermometre. Hope that helps. xx

All mine were in a bed by around 18 months but that was only because they ALL used to climb out of the cot. Their first bed was a "normal" bed with a guard on the side and the bottom part of the bed the duvet was tucked in really tight. I had a thin pillow for all 3 of them, if you are concerned about them wriggling down then put them half way down the bed, but tbh at 2 they should quite easilt be able to wriggle back up again no problem. There isn't any rules with how you transfer from cot to bed, just what you think is right. xxx

Also may think about anti allergy bedding.....and if he is anything like our 2 year old who at the moment is going through potty training.....a waterproof mattress cover ..just in case. xx

My son has been in a junior bed since he turned 2, he uses a pillow and duvet and my daughter who is 21 months is still in her cot (mainly due to space issues) but she has had a pillow and junior bed sized duvet since about a year, though she hugs it rather than sleeping under it!

Over 1's can have a pillow, I changed my daughters cot into a combed,so it's like a junior bed, a bit lower than a regular single bed and that was at 14months when she started walking, she's always loved it and feels grown up like her older sisters now...she was 2 last month....
Depends on ur budget cos I know I'm gonna have to upgrade to a single bed when she's a bit heavier xx

    Hey moms!

My cousin bought her new baby a very beautiful Princess cot. She said it is a new shop so she get it at a very low price. I have visited it and bought boys bed for my racing lover baby. The bed is on its way to our house by next week. By the way the site's address is ******************
